So much rejection in 1 week for Miss State

So much rejection? Hell. I feel pretty good. Super Bound and hot at the right time. And every MSU fan knew we could lose the host because of the ongoing construction.

So who you got in the 3 series? I hope the Gamecocks can pull it off, but it's tough winning against Arkansas at home. Auburn may pull off the upset against Florida. Florida not looking like world beaters right now. And I have no idea about Vandy or State.

My nobody opinion

1. Vanderblt had a better overall record.
2. Vanderbilt had a better conference record and finish.
3. Vanderbilt swept Mississippi State in the regular season.
4. Mississippi State's stadium is a construction zone.
5. The state of Mississippi has a law that says men have to use men's bathrooms.
6. The state flag of Mississippi
7. Its close, but Nashville is a better city than Starkville.

Other than the whistler, I am kind of glad we are on the road. Nobody expected anything out of this State team so we might as well prove them wrong again.

Well we know the NCAA used to be only about $$$. Now that definitely not the case. Money is secondary. Really the State and Vandy are about even with records and RPI. Yes Vandy swept us three months ago so I don’t think that really had any influence in the decision.
Congratulations to Vandy. Let’s have some great baseball this weekend and Go Dawgs!!!!

I am fine with it being in BNA but Vandy’s record is the same as State 34/25 vs 35/26,
Conference record one game difference
16-15/15-16.
So the resumes are basically the same.
I am glad for Vandy to host though. We are not expected to have a chance to win regardless of where it was going to be played.

A lot of State fans can't get over the fact that we used to host as the 3 seed in a 6 team regional because the NCAA could make money. The TV contract is where the money is now, not in gate receipts. That's why Conway, SC and DeLand, FL hosted regionals in stadiums that hold less than MSU's outfield.

MSU once hosted a regional they didn't play in because of the bid guarantee system.

I know that this is shocking, but one game difference still gives them a better record. I really think it was probably close and they could not ignore that Vanderbilt swept MSU in Starkville. That was the deciding factor.

As I said I am fine with it. That first conference series was eons ago. Neither team is anything like they were then.
In fact I doubt either uses much of anything from that weekend in the scouting report.

Exactly. In the preseason, Warren Nolan’s little formula even had MSU going a big fat Ofer in conference play. As in not win a single game. As in finish last. As in not be one of the six SEC teams in a Super.

Like anybody is going to voluntarily go to Starkville. Y'all silly.

Like apparently nobody voluntarily goes to Vanderbilt baseball games? Hence the lack of seating availability and no rush to add more?

I'm guessing that pic is from when the protests were going on in Baltimore and they were ordered to play with no fans being allowed to attend.
