Yea there is no shortage of arms this year for lots of teams. Maybe partly due to draft + eligibility rules w/ covid. Kind of like football and struggling defensive stats, wonder what the mound looks like next year. Good luck w/ UT!

Thank you!

Good luck with the future for your baseball program, just not so much luck that you beat us

Wanna say good luck and no matter what happens y’all don’t have to put up with Marinara anymore. For the ones tracking to Knoxville to sit outside the stadium y’all stay safe and make sure to leave that ugly purple at home. If you need an orange shirt I’ll have extras.

According to Kendal Rogers and Kyle Peterson and many others, the Knoxville regional was the toughest. There could have been a case made for the other 3 teams to be #2 seeds. Duke was the weakest team and they won the ACC tourney.

Yea I could see this. I think the two of them were different definitions of deep. The Ruston regional had more really good teams than most supers, but from the top team’s perspective, Alabama and Rider aren’t that rough. Tennessee had 3 solid teams, but idk if I would say anyone other than Tennessee was as good as NC State or LA tech

Hmmm last I checked I thought this was Wes Clarke for SC
Total beast, that guy. Glad I got to see him in austin when they played. Dude didn’t even have a great weekend by his standards and still mashed. Hit an absolute bomb on Sunday. Opposite field too

Wright State can really swing the stick. There lowest batting average was around .286 in the starting lineup. I think the team average was around .330 or so. Liberty was a really solid team. They had a good out of conference schedule and done pretty well against ACC teams. Duke was the weakest team in the Knoxville regional in which they beat NC State I believe in the ACC tourney. Duke should have been a #3 or #4 while liberty or Wright state could have been very solid #2 seeds.

Wait I thought Wright state went 2 and out. Am I remembering incorrectly?

They did, you are not incorrect. When Gilbert hit that walk off slam I believe that deflated them and they was not able to bounce back from it. That game could have been what Tennessee needed to get this run going they are on right now. But still don’t take away the fact that Wright State led the entire nation in most offensive hitting stats.

If Dugas stays hot he may catch the top spot. He should already have 20 but....

True. I don’t know if I would definitively say Duke is worse than them though

Yeah but they also play in a terrible conference. The sunbelt is better than the horizon

I think Wright State lacked pitching depth. I would take the offense of Wright State over Duke, but Would take Duke pitching over Wright State pitching.

Day 1 of supers over. Almost a perfect day for the Sec. Hopefully Ole Miss can bounce back against Arizona in game 2
