Let’s go! It seems like forever since the last super regional. Let’s put all the new baseball coach talk on hold while the current baseball is being played

Good luck to 5 out of 6 SEC teams participating in this year’s Super Regionals

And of course

ETA: Day 2 on its way. Here we come Tennessee

Can't wait for our upcoming meetings in Pensacola, I will be there. Just hope FSU has a team that can actually put the ball in play by then.

There were large parts of the season where it felt like LSU couldn’t either. Or keep the opposing balls in the park.

We somehow got hot

Y’all had one of the deepest regionals on the board to get through. 2 top 18 teams in 1 regional is rough. Nothing to be ashamed of

It was a super frustrating season. Have the D1 home run leader (last I checked) but have only two other guys hit .300 and your pinch hitter isn’t one of them.

Hmmm last I checked I thought this was Wes Clarke for SC

I’m guessing you meant DH but tbh we had guys hit .370, .350, and .309 but the last guy was over under .300 the whole year. We had a lot of bombs spread around our team but not a lot of consistent production. Our DH only hits like .250 or less. On paper our team is average at best, but somehow we made a super

Ah I see, yea that is certainly helpful but it can’t be your only output. We have a guy with 19, 2 others in double digits, and a few guys around 7 or 8, so we definitely never struggled with pop this year. Our bats were just incredibly inconsistent, or consistently average to below average. Take your pick

Our LF was batting sub-300 for a while (Cabell) and it was basically home run or bust...should pan well for the majors that and just random sloppiness on D was our season summed. I just hated we wasted some real gems on the mound. Thankfully should have another year of Messick.

We should have had an outstanding starting rotation this year with Hill, Marceaux, and Labas

One of our best in years actually

Hill never looked right to start the year and then ended up injured, and some people (myself included) think he was probably injured in some capacity from the start

Labas and Marceaux both looked good for a while, then Labas pitched a complete game and it got to him either physically or mentally and he slumped hard after that. This regional was actually his first really good performance since then

Marceaux has been great the whole year but his record doesn’t reflect it because our hitting against SEC Friday pitching has been abysmal

Anyway, our pitching was supposed to be great and our bats were huge unknowns. Ironically as average as our bats have been at times our pitching has at times been worse, especially out of the bullpen, which is chock full of freshmen. Thankfully, those freshmen showed up big in the regional.
