I dont care about being good early. I want to be good when it matters. We are trying to find guys that we can rely on.
So far, pitching is bad and we are making youth-full mistakes in the field.
However, some out of the bullpen have been a surprise.
I dont expect Gilbert to get smoked like that too much. We just are not in a SEC ready state right now.

But, USM has a solid lineup. I am just surprised their pretty inexperienced rotation has shut State down.
Having said that, it's so ridiculous to get too high or low after the first weekend. Any "baseball fan" that freaks out after the first weekend is rook AF.

LSU lost a ton of midweek games last year to nobodies and then went on to claim the co-SEC Championship, SEC Tournament Championship and got to the National Championship. Three games doesn’t tell you shite into a long season with new faces everywhere.

Edouard Julien might lead the league in walks this year. Already has 6 in I think 10 plate appearances.

That looks like some serious insurance in the 9th.
It’s just 1 series. But it’s huge for a northern team to likely get a huge series road win vs what will likely be a top RPI team.

I'd normally agree with this but we really don't know what we have in Cannizzaro yet imo and this is a giant turd he's laying to start this season.
