Sumrall is from Alabama, the one southern state that produces good coaches.

Sumrall is a goober. Reminds me of Bert who said he was going to win.

He is exactly what we needed - a hard arse who can get QB right

He said multiple times its just as much about adjusting the scheme to the QB you have instead of trying to plug who you have into a pre scripted scheme.

I like it. I like it a lot.

I’m not being a dck but these OC don’t mean anything. They all sound the same whether it’s Saban or DeBoer or one of these coaches. Coach interviews and PCs are the most useless information in all of sports.

If Sumrall had shown up talking about process and complimentary football, the UF fans would have run him out of town on the spot. He said exactly what he needed to say.

You can't use the same talking points of the previous failure of a coach. Napier was talking about process and complimentary football up until the week he was fired. Just hold on, the success is right around the corner, etc.

Your most legendary coach outside of the modern era is from Arkansas

In my experience the ones who talked the loudest bragging on themselves rarely delivered.

If that's the case, Silverfield is the most confident of the bunch because he didn't even need a press conference

I don't take much stake in an intro press conference but to Caw's point if we heard the word "process" more than once or twice it would have been a disaster
