exas did fire a coach because he was black. This has Texas written all over it

Does anyone know if the Sumlins are members of the Houston Country Club? Because if so there is a good chance the reason that envelope has a bulk mail sorting barcode on it is because it WAS bulk mail to begin with. Like, a letter saying annuals dues are up or something similar. So letter is faked and then someone pulls out the first envelope they can find to snap a picture of it with.

quote:Not necessarily. A smart person will use the words that are most hurtful to the one being attacked, not the ones that they think are the most vicious...big difference.
If those are the first things that come to a person's mind then they are a bigot, misogynist, etc...

First anyone who would send such a letter is beyond help. Second, this is ONE person, not an entire fan base. This action actually helped Sumlin.

What the frick, man? It's a legitimate question. Or do you not think people fake shite like this? It happens all the damn time and you are a feeble minded fool if you think it doesn't.
Of course, that much is obvious to begin with because, well...You're you.

It seems to me that it was either Sumlin herself or someone trying to frame the Houston Country Club for some reason. It makes no sense to put a return address on a hate message that wasn't mailed otherwise.
I guess it's possible it was mailed, but it wasn't stamped for some reason. Maybe damaged equipment in Houston. That's unlikely, but it is possible.

I think that aspect is just to claim its from a white person

There's no way Sumlin told his wife to do it. This is the kind of shite that keeps a person from ever coaching again.
That said, it doesn't guarantee that her dumb arse didn't do it on her own.

Oh, OK. Well frick you too and have a bad day.

When you see country club, white person is definitely the first thing that comes to mind.

quote:Wrong. Example: Say you're attacking an older person who is fat, and you call them a fat, old goat. Well quite possibly that person realizes that they are both old and fat, AND that doesn't bother them, BUT they may be sensitive about their senility problem and the fact that it sometimes makes them appear slow thinking or addled. So now you call them a senile, stupid fool. Now which insult is more effective and causes the most hurt?.

Should be easy to find.
How many old, racist women named Or Else can there be in Texas?

I agree.

A very good chance this happened.
This looks fake as Hell. Outside of the use of the N word it's too polite, if you're going to be so angered to use the N word then the rest of the letter would most likely be damn near as bad.
Then the added "or else" at the end, and the Houston Country Club address...
Smells fishy. JMO

I think this is all silly talk. I think his wife wrote that letter. For several reasons. First and foremost in my mind is the choice of wording. If someone out there is a racist, or whatever the case may be, and is mad enough to drop the N-bomb in a letter, I imagine the rest of the letter is going to be pretty colorful as well. For instance, instead of saying "you are a bad football coach", or whatever it was, it would look more like, "your team sucks donkey cocks, you frickin' (expletive deleted)".
Please get lost
Or else?
Haha
This thing is completely hair brained and I would be willing to wager it gets found out to be a fake. The folks at the Country Club are going to dig into this I'd imagine.
