Except if you have ever paid attention, that is how polls tend to work. Winning a bowl game vs a weak opponents is better than getting blown out by a champion in regards to the final ranks.

Agreed. I'm surprised we were ranked where we were at the end of the year. IMO, the only way A&M is ever getting in the CFP is if we win the SEC. Politics will keep us out under pretty much any other scenario
So, although I like where Fisher has us winning a championship is a lot harder than many think unless you are Nick Saban. I'd be happy with consistent 10 win seasons, and eventually you get a shot with that special one.

Sumlin first 2 years results were a product of Talent brought in by Mike Sherman. Just a fact.
