When he left UofH. Why do people keep praising him so much?

UH had 1 loss when Sumlin was hired by A&M. They lost the conference championship game after word got out that Sumlin was gone.

A&M would never... and I mean NEVER... have offered Sumlin a job if his team had 3 losses at UH. There is no way he would have gotten an offer from A&M after losing to Navy, SMU, and Memphis.

Say what you want but this would never have happened. LSU dodged a bullet in my opinion.

He is 22-4. Even taking out 2010 for Sumlin he was 30-10 and he inherited a team from Art Briles.

Does not matter. This year he lost 3 games. UH... in the Atlantic Athletic Conference... is not going to be in the top 25 on Monday and they lost to Navy, SMU, and Memphis this year.

Think about this for a moment. Are you saying last year was the real Herman and this year was a blip? This is irrational.

I'm not arguing resumes. Sumlin lost a starting QB one season. I am just looking at this year for Herman. Not impressive at all.

Are you saying last year was a blip and this year was the real Herman? How are those statements different?

I have no idea how he will do but on paper their resumes are not comparable

Herman would go to TAMU over UT if the job opened up. No doubt

No. Everyone is saying that if your argument is that Sumlin > Herman, then You = Retarded.

Nope... you retarded. Not arguing resumes at all. Just saying that A&M would not have hired Sumlin if he had lost to Navy, SMU, and Memphis that season and not finished in top 25.

Pretty simple statement really. Seems a bit difficult for some of you to grasp.

Good lord. Sumlin gave up 58 to UTEP, 47 to Air Force in a bowl, 56 to Rice, 59 to USM, 49 to USM in the title game. His teams melted in any sort of spotlight.

Sound familiar?

Who cares what A&M would do?
