I don't disagree with him one bit.

Good for him. Would love to have him but he is making a big boy decision. I hope he gets to play another year with OM.

As much as I don’t love this as an LSU fan, it’s refreshing otherwise for CFB. Chambliss is a very likable college football player.

I agree with him, but can his draft stock improve? I mean its gotta be soaring right now. I figured hed be gone.

He will make more at Ole Miss next year than on a rookie deal. He's one of my favorite players of all time but I think his next level potential has a fairly low ceiling.

his next level potential

Is nonexistent because he’s a system QB - and the system is leaving

Obviously excited about this as an Ole Miss fan, but would love to see more of this throughout college football. I understand with the portal and NIL, players move all the time and it's mostly about the best financial offer, and can't blame the players for that. But as a fan, there are certain players that you just associate with one program and would hate to see them leave. It's only been one year, but given what they did for this team it's hard to imagine Trinidad or Lacy being associated with any other school now. He's only a freshman, but I don't want Malachi Toney to go anywhere besides Miami. Same thing for other guys i associate with programs, Jeremiah Smith, CJ Carr, Marcell Reed, isaac brown, Arch.

I’d point out that John David Baker was co-OC at Ole Miss with Weiss under Kiffin and he runs the same offense but that would be lost on you.

Except…..it isn’t leaving.

There is a lot to be said about promoting from within when things are working. Why change the system if you don't have to do so?

If the national media weren't so focused on the Kiffin narrative, Chambliss probably ends up in New York. Don't think he wins it but his per game stats were as good if not better than anyone in the country.

Broken record but the lsu fans on here are largely idiots due to being a subspecies of human.

Chambliss will get a shot in the NFL, which may never have happened without Ole Miss.

I’m not really sure it’s enough to make him forgo an NIL contract. His size and arm strength aren’t what the NFL covets.

He’ll definitely get a shot but as the other OM poster stated…..financially, he's likely better off staying another year. I haven’t seen anything projecting him as a top 15 or even day 1 pick.

He would be an early season favorite for a Heisman if he has another great game(or 2) coming up and would certainly cause scouts to notice him.

Did his eligibility waiver go through? If not this means very little.

The waiver is a technicality. Also, he might just go to the NFL. I agree he will make more staying at Ole Miss another year. Another year of tape for NFL scouts. Kid has a good arm, good accuracy and is deceptively quick.

He also puts in the effort.

And literally sat next to CWJr and helped him to call the Sugar Bowl.
