It's where kids from north Texas (DFW, etc.) go when they don't have the grades to get into A&M, Utrans, TT or Chokelahoma. Pretty sure they don't have to pay out-of-state tuition either.

Damn not even Baylor, TCU, SMU or UNT? If they don't have to pay out of state then it makes sense

LoL

The gap is clear. Arkansas is the better program right now. Calipari's second year produced the most wins of any SEC team (28), a program-record-tying SEC Tournament title, and a top-10 NBA draft prospect in Acuff. Kentucky, meanwhile, saw its 2025-26 season described as an underachievement — 14 losses tied for second-worst since 1989, a 34.2% 3-point shooting mark.
Kentucky's brand and resources were supposed to produce the better product, but Pope has been dealing with roster construction, injuries, and a transfer portal where rivals Louisville and Tennessee are outmaneuvering him. Calipari, by contrast, took a mid-major-caliber program and turned it into a top-2 SEC contender in just two seasons

Baylor, TCU and SMU are all private and much more expensive. UNT is not as prestigious and does not have near the degree offerings as some other schools but they are growing and expanding. UNT (46,000+) is actually larger than ARKY(34,000+)

Unless South Carolina completely gives up, Arkansas has no chance.
