That guy was ready to retire. It will be the cleanest break up we have seen this year I believe.

Fired twice in the last 2 years. That's rough.

Imagine the only way to be relevant in SEC football is to fire your coach, because it seems to be the trend.

They just couldn’t bring him back. The stadium would have been empty. We know next season will be tough. We will lose some players. This should have been done the second the Louisville game was over.

New blood is badly needed.

Is this the part where the board asks why Stoops would consider anything but the full buyout within 60 days like his contract stipulates?

At some point ADs aren't going to let agents swindle them into getting multiple year, multi million dollar extensions with guaranteed contracts
because they plant the seed that other schools are coming for their highly sought after perennial 7-5 coach.

I expect to see more contracts like Pittman where the buyouts are tied to W-L record.

Taxes on the lump sum
The divorce settlement, he would get hammered with the lump.
His legacy with Kentucky fans

Rejoice. Kentucky will no longer win four games a year, now they might even win five.

Save it for basketball.

Well, it's not like Stoops hasn't been hoping for this.
