Stoops...He is the biggest douchbag in college football.

I was saying that throughout the game last night. He is a total douche. Nobody whines or pouts like Stoops.

Stoops runs up the score on teams during the season, every year, gets cocky, and then gets owned in the BCS games. It's becoming an annual tradition. There was a lot of satisfaction in seeing OU get beat last night.

BTW - agree with original poster. Stoops screwed up not taking six points when he had the chance. It might have changed the entire dynamic of the game. And I think if Miles was in that position, (a) he wouldn't have been, because the Hat dominates in bowl games, and (b) he would have seen how many points had been scored to that point and taken what he could get.

Thats crazy talk. Going for it from the one was sound football. Go for the TD, and if you don't get it they are backed up. Get a stop and you are winning the field position battle, even without the points. Before the half, they still had a timeout so why would you not try to score, and keep the option of the field goal with your timeout? The interception was a freaking fluke of a play. The entire defense seemed to have tipped that ball at least once. Even if they went for FGs both times, do you really think Florida would have been under some major pressure by being down by six? Seriously?

I couldn't agree more.
99.9% of the coaches out there would have done the same thing.
It wasn't Stoops arrogance that lost the game...it was better execution by Florida.

Stoops just got out coached again. He and Saban sure know how to roll over in big games.

no crap. I wonder what would happen if those two ever met in a big game? Neither can handle the big one!

Wow! It's impressive that you can read and type, seeing as you must have been born sometime after 2003...

and what exactly does my reading and typing have to do with the outcome of a Saban-Stoops showdown? I was just wondering, as I'm sure everyone else on here has too.

Stoops was outcoached in this one. He had the team ready but Florida found a way to make a few plays to win the game.

Essentially the same as the 2003 game that EofT seemed to have missed. Oklahoma did seem a little closer to really being "in" the game last night, but Stoops just didn't win the big one, again...

Didn't think it was a bad decision just didn't think he needed to quick snap the ball. He needed a little bit more confidence in his offensive line. Down, set, hut...

agree - good call, bad management

I mean't to say NOT outcoached. He had his team ready and they played well (a lot better on D than expected) but Florida made a few more plays.

Honelsty I was fairly neutral in this game until Stoops whined like a bitch along with one of his coaches about Tebow taking off his helmet after the whistle/no whistle. After that I just wanted to see Stoops with a long face.

Why wasn't that a penalty? Or, more specifically, why wasn't TT flagged (cuz it was a penalty)?

Stoops' arrogance to go for the big hits when the FGs would have given them the lead and extended it, really cost them big-time.

instead of the FG they thrown an INT going for the TD

The INT wasn't 4th down ... so I guess you're suggesting that Stoops intentionally threw the INT because he was so arrogant that he assumed he'd come back and win anyway?
