We’ve used FACEBOOKS's new version of its Lexicon tool to find the states where you'll have the best chance of bumping into a fellow football fan. Here's the list, ranked by the percentage of POSTS concerning “football” in a state over a given period of time.

for half of the year, we love to drink and to get fatter. for the other half of the year, we get to have football distract our eyes from the food on our plates.

so, all year long we love eating and talking about football. and drinking.

I understand their fans love college football, but dude, you ranked Louisiana lower than them, and you fricking left Florida off the list. Also, Texas should be a clear cut #1. Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech all have great fanbases, and TCU and SMU also have decent ones. This list is awful.

ETA: Direct this comment to whoever made this list, FWIW.

:lol at tards who still can't read:

Ohio and Florida have their fare share of Pro teams that take up the PERCENTAGE of posts on that site.....compared to states who don't have pro teams.....

i.e. Bama, MS, Hawaii....

I think people get how the rankings were done. It's still stupid to make a list based on how they did.

I think that it shows the general importance of college football per state relative to other topics.

The did the poll the correct way, but it's a meaningless topic.

EDIT:

The University of Alabama is already making t-shirts commemorating the top ranking in that poll.

Pennsylvania should be somewhere near the top 10.

the only reason WVU is in there, (they don't deserve to be in it period), is because that is the ONLY thing in the state... well that and coal.

I find it hard to believe Mississippi is that high seeing as their two biggest football programs suck.

Did suck. State isn't very good, but Ole Miss is on the way up.
I bet we have a higher combined average football attendance than Louisiana does.
If you'll remember Ole Miss and State average an attendance of about 110,000 combined. Southern averages around 30,000 which is much better than any of your other programs do.
Mississippi's population is half of Louisiana's.
You do the math there.

Texas at 9, no Florida, no California, what the hell this?!?!?!? I live in Mississippi and work HS football, there's very little talent compared to Louisiana. Tennessee and Hawaii are also way overrated.
