Auburn needs to give him a long extension to his contract

My sources are amazed at the great things he's accomplished so far

Husky Pearl was given a great roster and resources .... I don't understand why he can't get it done

Its his first year as a head coach, I wouldn't count him out yet. They've had several tough losses this season against good teams, and they beat the best team in the SEC on the road, and Arkansas, and got kinda screwed against A&M. And they have some nice OOC wins.

His pedigree says that eventually he is going to win and win big. Auburn needs to just be patient with him for however many years it takes for him to turn into his dad.

Not sure about an extension, but I’ll certainly be excited to give him another few seasons to see what he can do.

Other SEC Coaches’ First Season:

Todd Golden, Florida: 16-17; no Tournament
Rick Barnes, Tennessee: 15-19; no Tournament
Nate Oats, Alabama: 16-15; no Tournament
John Calipari, Arkansas: 21-13; 10-seed in Tournament
Mark Pope, Kentucky: 24-12; 3-seed in the Tournament

Pearl’s first season is on pace to rank somewhere in the middle of those first season performances, all while facing a more difficult schedule with less returning talent than any of those guys faced in Year 1.
