I did hate him, for a long while, up until
"The Humbling-ing" in '97 @ Tiger Stadium.

...would've been sweeter if it had happened before the
"Cornhusker Corn-Holing" Starring Tommy Frazier and the Mad Rapist Lawrence.

His offense was going to get him fired, Spurrier stepped in to try to help him keep his job.

Mac sucked dick. He is technically the worst offensive head coach at Florida in 70 years.

So yes. Spurrier trying to save the man's job for him is a bad thing.

The idiocy of the Rant is amazing. It really, really is.

People figured out he was likely stealing signs according to CMRs post game interview after we beat the hell out of SCU and set a record for completion only to repeat about three times that Spurrier would never steal signs...... Would he? In the post game interview only to quit a few games later.

All the great ones end as a loser unless they leave early.

He did definitely quit on his team, though.

So how Spurrier quit, means he is no longer one of the greatest offensive innovator's in CFB?

What an insanely dumb argument.

He should have quit earlier.

Amazed at all the butt-hurt cocks in a non-Aggie thread?

I am, too.

True, except he will likely go down as one of the top 5 SEC coaches of all time. He can say whatever he wants as far as I'm concerned, he's earned that.

Still can't believe that Foley told him to send in a resume.

It wasn't Foley, the rumor was about Bernie Machen.

I didn't say that he isn't a great offensive mind. I was agreeing that he quit on his team.

It probably would've been smart for McElwein to listen to him or anyone considering Florida's offense sucked for multiple seasons, but I don't really blame McElwein (or any coach for that matter) for turning away a former coach/legend who was trying to meddle in the program.

If you're a professional HC you're not going to bring in your predecessor to give you tips. May as well just let 'em fire you.

Somebody needed to meddle. It was atrocious. Also Spurrier was never a grinder as a coach, I’m pretty sure he isn’t doing a whole lot of looking over anyone’s shoulder. You can find him on the golf course.

I understand Spurrier feeling the need to offer some help or tips. He saw what we saw out there each week.

The hate for the Ole Ball Coach is still just as sweet as it was 20+ years ago.
