I didn't know g tech had sidewalk fans. Why do you choose to root for such a shite college team if you never went to school there? And why do you choose to then come here, a place where you have no standing, or input that matters?

Oh, so I Bleed Garnet was just quoting you. I guess my reply to him belongs here:

Oh hush. You sound like a Yankee bitch here. Southerners and the Irish -- making fun of themselves since time began.

Racism is every where and the worst I have seen in my life was upstate New York and Boston. Worst lyching in US history was in New York City shortly after the outbreak of the civil war....

We have all learned to get along down here and college football was one of the driving forces behind making the south one of the least racist parts of the country.

True statement. Being raised in the South but living in Chicago currently, Chicago is more segregated than any city in the South, although the people that are from here will try to make you believe differently.

Being raised in the south and currently living in NYC I gotta say the complete opposite.

Actually quite cool too because of all the different types of food.

I have noticed a great deal of anti-southern sentiment posting and commenting on this forum. It's a little infuriating that so many dullards are allowed to come on and spew racism claims and call players and fans hicks rednecks, racists and backward. Now I know the difference between good natured ribbing and down right ugly vitriol. Kidding each other about overalls, jorts and ugly haircuts is different than talking about lynching people and Ancient history. What's doubly loathsome is that most of this non-sports related drivel is spouted by one teams fans. Ok red arrow the shite outta this and blow me.

I understand where you are coming from but don't take it personally, what happens around here.

This is the SECr. It's mostly just a bunch of good natured ball busting done amongst men, and some boys who wanna one day be men, and a few cool chicks that would make great drinking and frickery buddies.

We've got common interests, what with the SEC and football and all, and this place allows us to be unrefined/uncouth and ungentlemanly in a social forum setting. It's one of a kind.

All the withering sarcasm aside, this place is what it is and some of us like most of it most of the time. If only they'd ban the A She She shits especially the sheep humping sister bangers ... hell, this place would be perfect.

But perfection is reserved for those less inclined to sinnin' that are we ... we're all just a bunch of nut scratchin' assholes having a good time ... from time to time. So don't take it personally.

We bust the mizzourites' balls, they bust ours with the only thing they've got really. It's part of the circle of life around here. Roll with it friend, just roll with it.

Yeah, I lived there for a year and it's not actually segregated in terms of general mixing of people. Sure, there are neighborhoods and boroughs for every subset of the population you can think of, but people don't stay in their neighborhoods.

The guy talking about upstate NY, on the other hand, is dead on. Racist as frick, especially up in the Adirondacks. I also lived in upstate Michigan for years. I saw...three black people the whole time. Three. When I returned south, the first time I saw a black person (working at a convenience store) I wanted to kiss her for giving me a break from the endless whitebread of upstate Michigan. Never actually heard much racism up there, though. They just didn't really think or talk about black people.

Good post. Prejudiced anti- southerner posts should be directly confronted on their merits in the same thread.

Agreed. I'll start: Why is the OP making Southerners sound like whiny bitches? How can he justify that?

People in NYC don't even recognize that as NY

You forget the Buffalo Bills are even a team. or the Buffalo Sabres.

Same State, and no one even talks about em.

I also find it funny that in terms of percentages, Buffalo is actually the more dangerous city in NY, not NYC.
