West Virginia ain't on the schedule. Steele will do fine.

WVU gained over 500 yds vs LSU's defense that season as well.

Since you remember the game so well, why did WVU only have 21 with over 500 yards of offense?

I'll wait..

eta here's a hint...WVU threw 65 passes...for 463 yards...

While Steele has a lot of talent and experience to work with - IMO Will Mushcamp is in the best position of the new Coord's. Will has the luxury of having a great offense to compliment his defense - his unit won't have to carry the team to get W's.

It's a good point, but I would say it's a toss up. I would imagine Auburn's defense will be on the field just as much as LSU's defense, which offsets the offense complimenting the defense or makes it moot.

Hope so pat. From what I understand Steele runs similar terminology and schemes to Chavis. I just wish we could put teams away in the last minute or two - we've lost so many like that lately. Bama and Clemson in '12, Georgia and Ole Miss in '13, Bama and ND in '14.

LSUs offense should improve a great deal. Had 3 true freshman starting at skill positions last year and have a top 2 RB in the SEC to control the clock

AU's offense scores when they are on the field though, their offense has carried their team for a long time. It feels just the opposite with LSU - the offense sputters around while the defense has been the best in the SEC.

I remember Ty Math tipping a pass for an int...

I guess West Virginia just hiked the ball and handed to LSU

This definitely wasn't the problem in 2013.

your D was Top 5 in scoring, your offense was outside the Top 50, and it's been that way for 6 years on average.

That's like saying our Defense wasn't the problem and our O needed to do more

We had to keep our defense off the field in 2013. Stats don't tell the whole story.
