I’m pulling for y’all. I don’t think Rodgers is going to transition to the new system all that well and I think you’re going to be short on receiving talent. I think your defense will continue to be great though. Hope you win every game and lose to us in Atlanta

It would be a miracle. I don't believe that Miss State put a lot of effort into the guy that follows Leach. It was convenient at best and lazy at worst.

Kiffin is licking his chops.

He was our DC. Just like a lot of programs who hired DCs or OCs to be their HC. Seems to be working out ok for Georgia. Pittman and Beamer hadn't even been coordinators when they were hired as head coaches.

Also, he's not some meathead--he was first team Academic All-American in college.

You went from a nationally recognized head coach with an outstanding resume for offense to a 36-year-old unknown commodity. And I don't think Sam Pittman and Beamer belong with Kirby Smart or Mike Leach.

Don't sell yourselves short. Y'all are tops in the SEC in cheesemaking, frisbee golf, and mowing.

Drinking on at 1am on Tuesday is not a good sign.

Our head coach died a week before early signing day...

ETA: Under an interim athletic director...

If Leach was still with us I’d agree that State would have a great year.

State will struggle with the new guy

It's easy to say stuff like that, but not knowing a coaches (Arnett) tendencies can be dangerous. Being unpredictable with veteran talent can be a huge strength for us this year..

He will be fine. If not we have Chris Parson who is supposed to be a great athlete but is a freshman. Rogers looked decent in the spring game for not having many reps in the new system

We have plenty of receiving talent. Jaden Walley and Tolu Griffin will lead that group

I have a lot of faith in Arnett for some reason.

He inherited a tough situation and so far he

1. Won a very emotional bowl game
2. Held recruiting class together
3. Didn’t lose many key players to the portal.
4. Looked competent in the spring game with an entire new system

I just haven’t seen a reason to worry. Guess we will see but I don’t think he will crash and burn like many here think

Just having a veteran QB will help tremendously. Also a lot of our opponents are breaking in new coordinators as well this year

Wasn’t Saban a DC before being a HC?

Arkansas (new OC and DC)
Auburn (new HC, OC, and DC)
Bama (new OC and DC)
A&M (new OC)
UK (new OC)
USC (new OC)
OM (new DC)

Those are just State's opponents.

Also
UGA (new OC)
UT (new OC)

State's defense will be the same, so only the offense will change. With more returning starters and fewer portal transfers, State is as stable as anyone.
