Clemson averages 253.7 rush yards per game. A&M held them to 115 yards.

Kentucky averages 231.6 rush yards per game. A&M held them to 70 yards. Mississippi State "held" them to 229.

A&M averages 204.3 yards per game. Ran for 164 against Kentucky. Mississippi State ran for 56 yards against Kentucky.

Auburn gives up 125 ypg but State rushed for 349 against them. State's running game is very unique. It's going to give A&M problems. I thought it would give LSU more problems.

Maybe Vegas figures State will start the other QB. They have to the current guy is a one trick pony.

It really isn't. We've already seen a better version of it: CLEMSON with Kelly Bryant.

That same Clemson team also has a better front 7 than Mississippi State does.

Fitz is going to test you inside the tackles way more than Kelly Bryant will. Again A&M should win the game but acting like this is just a gimme for the Ags is a joke.

Inside the tackles on the D Line is the strength of this team. 5 star Senior Mack and 4 star Sophmore Madubuike. Then two more Seniors on the edge of the DL to clean anything up. Running between the tackles is not how you beat A&M in 2018. You have to have an above average passing QB and elite WRs to beat this team.

Then that is a mistake. That is where we are strongest.

We've shown to have a few kinks to the run D armor on the outside at times. You run it straight at Keke, Brown, Mack, Madubuike, & Dodson and you're fricked.

Keep thinking that. Even teams with NFL talent at DL get ran on inside. Fitz is going to test you and State is going to run the ball on you. I just don't think they have enough plays in the air to beat you.

Mississippi State has faced the following offenses (didn't include lafayette or SFA)

Kansas State - 105th, scored 10
Kentucky- 96th, scored 28
Auburn - 93rd, scored 9
LSU- 69th, scored 19
Florida - 66th, scored 13

This is total offense which goes by yardage. Our offense is ranked 15th. Mond will be the best quarterback they have faced. We also are a lot more balanced than any of those offenses.

Our offense is putrid dogshit against any D with a pulse right now and you jokers debating scheme are missing this fact. We are completely dysfunctional on that side of the ball so, unless our D starts scoring multiple times a game, this discussion is pointless.

I would suggest that everyone redirect their MegaMillions spending to A&M straight up and thank me later.

Mississippi State Pass Defense vs FBS is #6 allowing 166.3 YPG passing

Here's who they've played (Team, Pass Rank, Pass yds per game... FBS only)

Kansas St 112th, 166.8 ypg
U La La 75th, 218.2 ypg
12 Kentucky 126th, 101.3 ypg
9 Florida 89th, 206.0 ypg
Auburn 65th, 228.7 ypg
4 LSU 96th, 199.0 ypg

MSST hasn't really been challenged through the air... (average of team's played average = 186.66) Meaning MSST is holding teams about -11% under their average - good but not "elite".

Texas A&M is 23rd in passing offense averaging 287.0. If MSST holds us under by -11%, we will be passing for 255 yards or so.

Mississippi State Run Defense vs FBS is #21 allowing 120.8 YPG rushing

Here's who they've played (Team, Pass Rank, Pass yds per game... FBS only)

Kansas St 48th, 180.8 ypg
U La La 23rd, 219.0 ypg
12 Kentucky 15th, 229.3 ypg
9 Florida 33rd, 196.0 ypg
Auburn 98th, 135.6 ypg
4 LSU 39th, 191.6 ypg

(Average of team's played average = 192.05) Meaning MSST is holding teams about -37% under their average - Very very good to "Elite"

Texas A&M is 77th (yuck) in rushing offense averaging 154.5. If MSST holds us under by -37%, we will be running for 97 yards or so.

255 + 97 = 352 yards for A&M... I like that versus MSST's good defense and shitty offense.

Well, there’s been a lot of time spent here compiling a lot of statistics about each other’s team......and you know what they say about statistics, right?

They're the best indicator of what will happen in a very hard to predict game.

I reckon A&M scores 20, so if it’s set at 23 or above I’m taking it.

Our offense is laid up in a hospital bed on life support fighting a losing battle to terminal bone cancer
