Gonna be lot of empty seats in Starkville on Saturday. Especially after that gameday debacle this past Saturday.

Not nearly enough. Gonna need to pay me a lot more than 4 bucks to go see that shite.

This is why MSU will never be relevant

Not sure if this what he was referring to.. but has a coworker go to the same Saturday and she said people were passing out left and right and they weren’t enough attendants to get to people and it was a scary site to be at

That's what you get for scheduling the 2nd most compelling matchup of the SEC at 11 am while Auburn and Missouri get to play their nobodies in the cooler daylight.

Go read the Mississippi State message boards. Gameday management was a disaster. Fans saying it was the worst in 50 years of going to State games.

I believe the field temptaure was over 120° which led to quite a few injuries for both teams. Just a bad situation for everyone involved.

Add in the fact that MSU continues to support a shitty Aramark that closed most of their concessions and gameday operations that had no idea how to get people through a metal detector and you had a disaster all around.

It's just stupid to insist on teams in Alabama/Mississippi/Louisiana to play games in that weather when the difference in bunching those games together at 7 PM vs making some play then is so negligible.

As someone who went. It was probably the worst experience I've ever had. It was embarrassing. The people that run this act like they don't know how to run a SEC Football Game. Idk what happened. I've been to some nobody MSU games before but that was ridiculous.

With Kentucky being a 3 PM kick, we won't have fans until the LSU game. It's too hot in this fricking State to have day kickoffs and it was too dangerous last Saturday.

Did something change? State hasn't had these issues before have they?

College baseball has altered schedules for northern teams to avoid getting snowed out for the first month of the season, boggles the mind that the same considerations are not given to football players in the south.

Early September really anywhere in the SE is got damn unbearable, It was close to 100 in Nashville today ffs.

Really no reason to have any games before 4pm til the leaves start fallin

Oh no, the SEMSU/Mizzou game might cannibalize viewing of the UT-Martin/Florida game!

Like, come on.

Idk what changed. No everything had been fine for the past few years I've been going. Our athletic director had to issue a statement about the situation since so many people complained.

I think Aramark is just bad. So many people needed water and more than half of the concessions were closed. That was embarrassing.

For anyone wondering about our chances for our next two games, our guys are pretty conditioned to this and I highly doubt Kentucky or Kansas State will be. If you need help with your picks the next few weeks since they are both day games in Starkville

I walked in after the band an hour early with no issues. My row gets in the shade around 2:55. I didn’t think it was that bad. All the lower west concessions were open. A&M a few years backed seem worse to me.

Having talked to people that work in hospitals in the area I can tell you that it was so bad that hospitals in the surrounding towns were treating fans for heat exhaustion and heat stroke that went to that game, and these weren’t cases of people drinking too much alcohol, just average John and Jane Public getting roasted alive.

TV contracts be damned, when the weather gets that hot it should be treated live a severe thunderstorm and postponed to a later hour especially if your concessions / gameday management isn’t prepared to handle the situation. There’s no sense in putting people at risk like that.
