Thing is...for years this wasn't really a situation in early September before the ALL GAMES MUST BE TELEVISED era.

So for 30 something years, the SEC had an 11:30 TV (JP) game and a 2:30 TV (CBS) game. If any other games were going to be on TV (ESPN) it was usually going to be at night. In Auburn, if it wasn't on TV and it was September, it was going to be a 6PM kickoff. I think it was that way everywhere in the southeast. They have now moved 60% of these games to the middle of the day in 100 degree weather. Once a player dies from heatstroke or a few lawsuits creep in they will probably start to rethink things. By the way, I was in Auburn Saturday night, and even at night it was no walk in the park, but I could not imagine having sat for 4 hours in that heat Saturday afternoon.

People didn’t hydrate before the game. There were people of all ages passing out this past Saturday. Some of them were alcohol related too.

As far as concessions go-probably greed on State's part. When I was in college, they allowed local vendors with the local Coca-Cola distributor overseeing the concessions...of course, they had to share the profits with them but food and water was never an issue-everybody won in that situation. Then you have these companies like Aramark come in and an offer the so-called better deal....sux!!
