Maybe I trust the doctors over a sideline reporter.
What did she claim that was in any way a medical diagnosis? She just said what she saw and the video evidence supports her.

Hey Clark, blame the doctors that cleared him and evaluated him and not the guy coaching football
Would you say the same thing about DJ Durkin?

By the way- the head coach is 3 feet away from him when he collapses and there’s at least 5 staff members surrounding him. I garuntee at least one of them is a coach.

The coaches saw a player stumbling on a football field. Oh no. Joe burrow crawled on the field for 30 seconds struggling to fricking breathe

He went into the medical tent and doctors evaluated him. If they told the coaches he was ok for play, all anger and vitriol should be directed at them you believe they were wrong

But I will wait to do that even, as we have pretty limited info as of now

I don’t give a shite if he fell right on the coaches foot

The doctors job is to evaluate the player. Not the coaches

Why do you think it should matter who cleared an obviously concussed player to return to the game? Either way, it was someone representing Mississippi State and charged with the health and well being of that student athlete.

That is not good at all and seems to send a win at all costs message that is just unacceptable given the knowledge we now have regarding concussions and brain trauma.

It's shocking to me that so many of you are defending this.

Thank you. Feel like I’m taking crazy pills here. Seriously shitty that he went back in after that.

I think it’s shocking you want football coaches to now use their judgment over that of a doctor

It’s like we are going backwards in logic

You serious Clark?Look at the video. The kid is clearly dazed and is stumbling then his legs buckle and he falls. That’s so blatantly obvious that he had a concussion. Do you need a video of his eyes as they close or can you use a modicum of intelligence to reason what happened in that situation?

Tell us your medical credentials please.

I’d really like to know how you can make such a quick diagnosis - particularly since a lowly EMT-B like myself can think of several things other than a concussion that would cause exactly what you described.

I’d really like to learn from someone as good as you.

Where did I say anything about the coaches using judgement over doctors?

Awesome! Do me a favor then- using the situation that happened to the player, the eye witnesses description and then the corresponding actions please enlighten us all with the several things that it could have been. I’m legitimately intrigued.

You did worse. You diagnosed a medical situation from a TV clip and slandered those actually on scene. Congrats.

Waiting on your diagnosis chief. My wife’s asleep right now but I’ll ask her in the morning if your guys diagnosis are similar. I’m a project manager and don’t know shite medically but she’s a physician so I’m intrigued.
