You're missing the point. I'm saying that many Auburn fans like to pretend that Alabama is THE (as in singular) school in the state that pays players and gets away with it while they are above all that nonsense. When the fact that they also had a player Eric Ramsey rat them out like an Alabama player did to Alabama and both got schools got busted AND they have recent former player admitting to receiving money, it might be time to give up claiming the moral high ground and admit your school is no less dirty. That's the point I was trying to make.
No, I got it and your point is well taken. The way in which you chose to make your point and the unfortunate way you worded it still stands. So I maintain my criticism that only having one player admit he did something illegal shouldn't be your rallying cry.

All I know, is that the NCAA found no evidence of pay for play and Cam Newton has maintained he never received a dime from Auburn.

And bingo. You reiterated your logical flaw in the post you made explaining you didn't see your logical flaw in the original post.
You're really good at cutting up a statement and spinning it to support your agenda.

Why was an overweight, lazy defensive lineman like Albert Means paid, but not a guy like Jarrett Johnson who's been in the NFL for 10 years?
Means was highly recruited. His lack of work ethic came out later. Nice try though.

No agenda. It isn't even about Cam and Stanley. Your argument is intellectually dishonest. You believe one person because you like what they are saying while you find the other uncredible because you don't like his message. The only thing coloring your perception is the outcome. That is the only point, and I'm not the one making those statements, you are.

Should let some of your buddies over on bamamag in on that. I got a kick out of the post today comparing Auburn to Saddam Hussein.

Waiting for Auburn fans to get in here and try and defend this shite
If there's something you can take away between this rivalry is that things go both ways.

I know Auburn has some stinkers, but what is it about every single Alabama message board that causes them to suck so much?

I believe as much as anyone that *U cheats now, has in the past and will continue to cheat in the future. They are the dirtiest, most corrupt group in college sports.
Even Cindrich in accusing Coach Saban and Alabama of cheating said *U had $100 handshakes going on!
What concerns me most is that IF *U is ever caught and severely punished with PSU type sanctions or the Death Penalty is that the psycho, lunatics will blame it all on Alabama and the REC and will use all their money, time and energy to destroy Alabama football because it is their obsession to do so anyway!
If their program were to be shut down they would have nothing but time to work on "Operation Red Dog XLV and other such projects like the barner who took Bama players fishing!
What those idiots would do is scary and dangerous!

Jesus Christ, man, are you stupid? I'm inclined to believe Newton because an NCAA investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing. I find McClover to not be credible because he will not submit to an interview with the NCAA.
What is so hard to understand about that?

Can I link the stuff from Bunker about Mark Emmert hammering Joe Paterno by vacating wins, so Nick Saban could eventually become the winningest coach. Or the one about how Nick Saban showed no sympathy towards the Tuscaloosa shooting?

Sure, but The Bunker, ITAT, and AE aren't all that bad compared to the awesomeness you'll find on TideFans, BamaMag, TideSports, etc.

quote:It isn't intellectually dishonest. Couldn't one person be telling the truth and the other be lying. Couldn't someone honestly believe that after a year of investigation by the NCAA, FBI, and every journalist in the country that it is possible Cam wasn't paid while also questioning the credibility of a guy who says he was paid but shies away when asked to give verifiable details.
Your argument is intellectually dishonest. You believe one person because you like what they are saying while you find the other uncredible because you don't like his message.
McClover very well could have been paid, as Cam could have. But your attempted point that someone has to believe them both or neither one is silly.

You're one of the crazy bama fans that lets the crazy auburn fans make you believe the "auburn isn't dirty bama is" bullshite represents the average auburn fan.
We're very aware we're no better, or no worse than you in this department.
