A couple more real old ones of Razorback Stadium. Looks like Sanford Stadium and Razorback Stadium are similar in orgin, being ravine stadiums:

I miss being able to see thsoe hills

That's the photo. Thanks. Also like the alligator photo, too.

Yes. I also love Florida's original buildings. So pretty. All of us have some monstrosities from the late 50's through early 80's that are just butt ugly.

Just curious, how many stadiums have y'all been to. SEC or otherwise.

In the SEC I've been to:
Bryant Denny
Jordan Hare
Swamp
Tiger Stadium
Vandy
MSU

Outside of that:
Troy's Veterans Memorial
FSU
Legion Field
Lockhart (city owned that FAU used - off campus)
Orange Bowl - the old one and Pro Player or whatever it is called now.
Superdome
GA dome
The Titans stadium. Still called LP?

And I'd have to go back a while for MLB stadiums. Too many to think of now.

What I find interesting about this thread is how far ahead lsu was in terms of a stadium from the 40's-60's

Yep. The one thing Huey did was take care of LSU and pumped money into the university in both academics and sports.

I know this isn't a competition and all homerism aside, it strikes me how beautiful Bryant Denny is compared to the other stadiums.

With all the new work and additions over the last decade, Bryant Denny is now the showplace stadium of the SEC.

I agree but it looked like shite for most of its existence.
Tiger Stadiums facade was ruined with the expansions not maitaining the arches around. The outside North Endzone has a beauty and a mystique that none of the other stadiums in the SEC have. I really do not like how the east and west upper decks did not maintain the facade. Hell, the old west upper deck was better that what was done on the new.

It looks like an awesome place to watch a game. Hopefully I'll get to make it one day.

I'm just proud that Arkansas can even compete as far as facilities in this conference. So much money and pride is pumped into that area. We've come a long way to be able to have as nice of a stadium as we do now. I really wish we could end the games in Little Rock and close in the north end zone of Razorback Stadium...see if we can get up to 80,000.
