The SEC needs to go to nine-team conference schedules or do away with permanent cross-division foes for good.

The 9 team schedule would be just as bad for Florida, they already play FSU every year.

(the only 3 teams to vote against the cross-divisional games were LSU, USCe, & aTm).

Missouri abstained because their president did not have board approval to vote. He is on record as saying Missouri is opposed. Which is why if we move UT to the West and Arky to the East, the coalition will be LSU, USC, Aggy, Arky, Mizzou, Bama, UT. I'll bet James Franklin can convince Vandy to end their uneven rivalry for a greater challenge. That's 8. Assuming that's all you need, consider the permanent opponents gone.

I agree with this.

Or kick out two schools and go back to 12 conference members.

I think we're headed to a nine game schedule sooner or later.

Please educate us. The real point is you are in here trying to stir up shite. You don't have anything to add and, until now, you didn't even realize A&M voted against the plan. Just admit it. Then no one has to respond to you flaming and the pissing match between those who actually care and aren't carpetbag conference members can take place without your ignorant interference.

I knew full well and simply didnt care. The real issue here for LSU fans isnt even he scheduling format, its simply that Bama has an easier schedule. The complaint would be the same regardless of format, and if the roles were reversed there would be no complaints to be heard.

Youre too blinded by this mob rage mentality to even realize you cant come up with a truly good reason for why youre so upset.

As a matter of a fact, the other two have stated plenty of times that they want to keep the cross-divisional games.

That's because Florida needs help selling out season tickets, and LSU coming to town every other year helps.

What makes you think Im only reffering to LSU? Bama has to beat the teams in front of them too.

I was reffering to LSU fans. If you had the easier schedule, would you be begging for tougher opponents to make things more fair for Bama? Because if not this goes from just regular ol stupid to stupid and hypocritical.

Boo hoo

This game is cyclical, unbalanced schedules are an inevitable by product.

You are here to flame. Because some unbalance can result is no reason to enshrine it. Vanderbilt shouldn't be rewarded by always getting Ole Miss to play.

We would be begging for tougher opponents just as much as Bama is begging for tougher opponents now.

If it were reversed I'd troll bama fans and call them whiners too but I would privately know we caught a break.

There's no way to make the schedules 100% level, but what is upsetting is that we aren't even going to try and at the very least leave it to the luck of the draw as to who gets the easier road in a given year as opposed to a systemic problem that gives a team that benefit year in and year out.

I hope they can handle it. Their cross-divisional opponents had a combined 1 win in SEC play last year.

I sure hope they can handle it.

What's funny is TAMU voted against the plan and left its previous conference to escape the influence of the flagship school of its state. Say what you want about Auburn, but they at least are consistent and don't bail on their conference when they don't get their way.

That was before it was decided to swap Mizzou's permenant rival over to Arky. I'm pretty sure they want to play Arky every year since it is one of the few schools that is within reasonable driving distance.

What in the heck makes you think they UT would agree to go to the west, and that Arky would go to the east? I think those schools like to be in driving distance to at least a few of their yearly games.

I've already gone into detail explaining why Tennessee will never be what they once were.
