Spurrier used to win SEC titles and talk a lot of smack, now he only does one of those two things.
Talk all the shite you want when you're the best or damn close but it looks gimmicky when you're the 3rd or 4th best team in the conference every year.

Well...he ran the score up on us in 1991. There was no reason to score that last touchdown. None. Plus we met his Gators in the SEC Championship Game a grand total of five times in the 1990s and those were pretty big games. Those games Florida destroyed LSU in were mostly meaningless while the games where Alabama and Florida played were for the SEC and a Sugar Bowl berth.

All but two of his children were born here, this is his home, this is why the HBC says he is retiring here to be near his grandchildren.

Hopefully the transition will be a smooth one when it happens, and Junior will be able to keep it going and improving.
