I’m slightly confused why Tennessee was even considered for a rank

How about telling me what the stock market's gonna do today, so I won't have to watch CNBC.

Stock market has nothing to do with knowing that a non big 6 team does not lose 3 first round picks on the defensive side alone and come out as a top 15 team. Considering their #1 nationally ranked defense carried the team last year that finished with 5 losses. Throw in the fact that they are only in the 2nd year of a new coaching regime that also had some turnover in the staff.
Couple that with the fact that they will be changing their offense up a little this year as well to match Moorhead's preferred style since their starting Qb of a couple of years is departing. They are also losing a couple on the offensive line to go along with that.
State will be competitive in most games, but there is no evidence that points to them being a top 15 team at this time. Too many unknowns at this point.
That a good enough analysis for you chief?

I'll just stick with the opinions of the "fools" at The Sporting News.
I guess this means you can't help me with the market, huh?

Surprise! Alabama avoids Georgia and Florida again until the SEC championship and plays literally nobody OOC
Fixed it for them

I would hope that whoever is paying this hack is not paying too much.... and by too much I mean higher than minimum wage.

Neither Gatewood or Willis are SEC QB's. Bo Nix will be the guy and he is going to play very well. Lot of pressure on Guz for 2019 and I believe the Barn will be 9-3 in the regular season. As long as Bama doesn't win the NC then Guz will be fine.

Too High:
5. Ohio State
6. t.u.
10. Michigan
11. Texas A&M
14. Washington
15. Mississippi State
16. Auburn
20. Syracuse
Too Low:
2. Clemson (Defending National Champion should be #1 until they lose)
17. Army
19. Washington State
22. Wisconsin
24. Northwestern
Everyone else is debatable.

Mr. Taylor also predicted a 30-20 LSU victory over Alabama but let's all marvel at the one thing he actually did get right.
