A&M might have been in the National Championship that year, so yeah, it might have had slightly more prestige than the AAC.

Let's say A&M is in the Big 12 that year and goes undefeated. That means Alabama probably goes undefeated in the SEC.

Even though we likely have a stronger SOS do you really think pollsters would have put A&M in the title game over an undefeated Notre Dame?

And congrats on finishing not last but near last for your entirety in the conference that you think is so inferior?

Typical aggies. It's all about who has the best losses since they can never notch a solid win on their own merit

Aggie will begin losing to Arkansas once again and it will start this season. Even with a 9 game losing streak to Aggy, who has taken the absolute worst 8 year period in Arkansas football history and parlayed it to 8 wins, Aggy failed in each attempt to beat the Hogs when Arkansas had a credible coach in place. Arkansas has a rookie coach but undoubtedly has the best OC and DC in the SEC. Chad Morris recruited talent above average for the SEC but had zero DC nor OC help. The Hogs problems have been HC, DC and OC for the past several years and all of that has been taken care of. With Feleipe Franks at QB for one year as a transition QB to get to the ultra talented Malik Hornsby who will rip up the SEC with OC Briles as his coach, I see nothing but wins racking up by the bushels in the next 3 years. Along with Saban beginning to show his age, Malzahn, well, being Malzahn, the under performing Aggy tradition and Orgeron's clock hitting midnight after last season, I see the Hogs on top of the SEC West by 2023. As the narrator at the beginning of the movie ARMAGEDDON says, "It's happened before, it will happen again, it's only a question of when." By the way, even after winning 8 straight against the Hogs, Aggy remains behind in the all-time series against the Razorbacks.

Fun fact - since A&M left the Big12 8 years ago - they have as many Big 12 Championships as the longhorns.

Fun fact - that stats still zero, so not sure what the bragging point is there? It isn't the fabled "we have the most quality losses in the nation" argument coming from aggieland, is it?

Fun fact - since A&M left the Big 12 8 years ago - they have played in 2 less conference championship games as the longhorns

Fun fact - while A&M was in the Big 12 for 16 years, their record was a whopping 5-11 against the Longhorns (OUCH)

It's always about comparing the losses. Never the wins. I wonder why that is

It's kind of like when the class nerd accidentally gets invited to the cool kids party. The cool kids are initially put out over it, but decide to let the nerd stay when they realize they've got a new victim to pick on.

Kind of crazy we’ve won 8 in a row against Arkansas. I mean order is restored and that’s how it should be, but crazy it happened so quickly. A&M will have the all time series record soon, and when Arkansas was ranked number 5 and thought they were about to finally break through and compete at the highest levels they had a 17 game lead in the series. 4 coaches later they are firmly behind BOTH Mississippi schools at almost every level. Kind of wild.

Congrats on all of the extra FCS opponents?

Let's compare wins against Power 5 opponents next! Or NY6 bowl comparisons! Or top 25 finishes? Or Herman vs. Fisher?

Or just Texas vs. A&M (in all sports) head-to-head, but I know you don't want to go that route...

ETA - oof... tough look here:

Literally lost to them once in the last 5 years, and that was last season. And they would've annihilated A&M last year considering we know what happens to aggies when they play ranked teams.

I guess you're used to "stopping the pummeling and giving up" when all you did was take 100 years of abuse from your big bro, though!

No I'd rather make BCS title game

Wow, nice cherry-picked timeline you got there. I've clearly struck a nerve.

Typical ags... always having to count on other teams to beat Texas since they can't do it themselves

Real talk: what do you think A&M's record would be against either of those teams since they left for the SEC. Considering how the aggies crater and hide for safety from ranked opponents, I don't think the aggies success would be quite as large as you think it'd be.

Then again, y'all are all about the quality losses since you have no meaningful wins

We lost some of that SEC prestige as soon as aggy came into the conference. Its about as equivalent as saying Rutgers would be more prestigious if they were in the SEC. Is this why aggy plasterers SEC emblems on everything? Because they can only be “successful” by association?

Don't be ridiculous. Even Rutgers is capable of accomplishing SOMETHING
