Yeah and he learned there are levels to this.
He let slip earlier this summer he wants the SEC to leave the NCAA and in effect he would become commissioner of a new sports league. He has ideas of grandeur about himself, but at the end of the day he’s just a yankee idiot who doesnt understand what he’s dealing with.
He’s a college sports administrator… not a congressmen. And certainly not as powerful as the speaker of the house of the united states.

Isn’t that funny? It’s almost like the SEC went to the media with a threat to expel or sanction LSU because Kiffin said something mean in a halftime interview

The only thing that would seem to make sense about the approach, the SEC is taken is that they don’t really want the safe college sports act to be voted into law. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be going right at LSU, knowing that the speaker of the house, the majority leader, and a powerful guy like John Kennedy we’re gonna have a good reason not to want to help you.
Certainly, there is an argument to do things altruistically. But the reality is that people tend to do business with people they like. And the SEC is not making any friends with the Louisiana congressional delegation by picking this fight.

Not in and of itself, but protecting LSU from unjust conference persecution? They’d never lose another election in Louisiana. Their constituents care far more about LSU than they do the SEC or Sankey.
Sankey et al showed they acted in bad faith this whole time against LSU. Thats a mortal sin in Louisiana. That’s also not the smartest play if you want this bill to pass and you need the SOTH to stay on board, an LSU alum who loves his alma mater.
