Golesh's offense will roll in this one. Auburn by 30+.

Auburn should win on paper, but those bastards can and will jump and bite you in your fricking arse.

We need to see a LOT of progress this week. Honestly, I don't think our talent stacks up well with much of the SEC.
We need to see our QB react faster. We need to see the OL gel. Against Southern Miss, I need to see a TON of separation with our WR --- because SEC play is right around the corner.
On defense, I would like to see much less total yards, but as long as they continue to keep other teams to two scores or less, I am happy.
So in summary, I want to see the offense show some consistency and cohesion to give me some kind of hope for 7 wins.

A lot of that went away when Jeff Bower got fired. But they did use to be the giant killers pretty regularly. They are good enough to give Auburn trouble.

I was glad to see them bring back Gator Bait. Now, we just need to bring back Dixie and Col Reb and the world will heal.

I remember him playing against us when I was at the game (I think 89?) and I remember thinking this Favre fella seems pretty good.

Auburn looked bad vs Baylor with a mediocre Lagaway on one foot. BUT I think they win this one Big.

It's not really your dad's Southern Miss. Auburn wins 42-14 or something like that.
Historically, Southern Miss was never an easy out. Between 1989 and 2000, Southern Miss beat Alabama, Auburn (twice), Georgia, Florida State, LSU, and also had several one score losses against some top programs. But that was 25-35 years ago now.
