VT got absolutely creamed by Old Dominion last night too. They are gonna be historically bad.
Shula isn't a bad OC. Sellers isn't a bad QB. The combination however doesn't seem well thought out or make much sense.

Beamer’s 5th year and our offensive line is just as bad as it was during Muschamp’s tenure. The only difference between the two is Beamer recruited two better QBs.

It was clear to the neutral observer how this was going to go.
Every year you have a few QBs that get pushed to the stratosphere once January rolls around and the pads come off.
Seller was never Cam Newton reincarnate but you wouldn’t be able to tell given how he was hyped this offseason.
Decent little QB and a good runner but he is not and never has been a contender to be 1.1

I have never hidden the fact that Beamer is in over his head, never bought the "Beamer is a nice guy and likable guy and his players love him. They quit last nigh and I don't blame them. He is gonna get this kid hurt. Our O-line coach has absolutely ZERO prep nor scheme for upcoming opponent's defenses. Yet, Beamer keeps him. I played football. I watched football. I have never seen such idiotic play calling at this level in my fricking life. Sellers needs to transfer out on this dumbass. frickin melt on a stick

Well put, and I will never understand why Clemson was so hyped when their quarterback was vastly overrated. Dabo Swinney is only as good as his assistants. He is a glorified wide receivers coach who made two good hires in Scott and Venables. He needs to stop getting credit for anything other than hiring them.
