Cocks 31
UT 21
Game isn't going to be a blowout, but I do think we win fairly comfortably. UT is still a couple of years away.

Thats what every UGA fan was saying the week before the UT game

Which time, this past year they won, the year before that when they won, or the year before that?
USC could lose this game, and UT could've beaten UGA, but the stats so far would point to USC winning this by a comfortable margin. Although, having that bye week before us is huge.

And every Tenn. fan thought ya'll would hang with Oregon, that is when the fans were really drinking Butch's kool-aid. We are not depleted like UGA is at the moment...that might change, im sure ya'll will take out someones knee...
Good almost win vs UGA without their 2 stud RB's

Not only is this completely irrelevant, it's parently false.
I would love for you to find a post, on any message board, with a UT fan saying we had a chance against Oregon.

As far as how we match up, I look at the Stats, we're better than UT in just about all of them. I put who is statistically "better" in BOLD.
Things to take into account when looking at the statistics...UT got blown out by Oregon in Eugene. If you take out the statistics from that one game, UT's defensive stats change significantly.
In that one game, UT gave up:
59 points
471 passing yards
216 rushing yards
Still not a great defense...but not quite as horrible as the stats might suggest.

As irrelevant as what? Saying what UGA fans were saying before a game 2 weeks ago has anything to do with the SC V. Tenn game this week? That irrelevant?

No, just no. No sensible fan believed we had a shot against Oregon.

I like how this always gets brought up even though UT had walk ons and freshmen blocking punts and scoring TDs. UGA, even with all those injuries, still out-talented the hell out of us. The fact is, a compeltely under-talented UT team took the number 6 team in the country into OT and almost pulled out a win. Last year, we came into Williams-Brice with one of the worst teams in our history, and you beat us by a field goal. We've had a bye week to prepare, and the UGa game showed we finally have some confidence. We'll see what happens, but don't expect an easy win

It's a lot like when 100% of USC fans were claiming that this years edition of the Gamecocks would be the greatest college football team of all time, and could manage a winning season in the NFL.
See how easy that is?

I hope the SC team wears extra knee braces, body armor and whatever else is required to get out of Knoxville without losing half your team on that terrible field.

Decent troll, but I would be more afraid for UF's opponent, what with all the cheap shots, late hits, etc.
On topic, I think USCs wins this game mainly because of M. Davis and the mobility of Shaw.

If any SEC fans--Bama's aside--predict a sure thing against any other conference opponent, he or she is a fool.
Frankly, all I think Tennessee needs is a quarterback. Worley is pitiful. He was rejected by Carolina, Georgia and Clemson. And I saw all his high school films--Northwestern High is only 25 miles from me.
But to even think that the proud program that is Tennessee is a pushover for any other teams than Bama or Oregon is folly and shows lack of what the SEC is all about.
One more thing that nobody mentioned. Butch's "seat" is warm and the next coach could be Petrino, after he goes to Cocke County and handles a few rattlers to purge his sins.
