You still haven't made an argument at all.

For the most part, yes. I remember South Carolina lost to Alabama by 2 pts. Is there some other pertinent information about the game I should remember?

Did the refs steal it like they did with LSU/USC?

Was there a squirrel on the field or something?

SC needed last minute drives to beat Mizzou and Clemson at home.

Uga never led vs GT, and needed 8 OTs to survive.

This is a dumb argument. Close games that end in wins are still wins. And yes, Bama absolutely won when they played SC.

Sounds like you're trying to excuse the fact that they lost. You failed.

Overhyped South Carolina wasn't that difficult to play. Missouri on the road came within 1:30 of beating them. And Missouri lost to Bama on the road 34-0 and aTm on the road 41-10.

The calls that the Refs made vs South Carolina on LSU were legitimate calls. Their defense just blew up Nuss as he was standing there on a blind side block. That is a penalty. Sucks it brought back plays, but that's their own fault.

The only penalty in that game that was not warranted was an OPI called on South Carolina that negated a 12 yard gain. That is the only one.

Ah. . .so you are doing the "no nuance" thing.

deserving

This word “deserving” instead of “best” is why we are having such an embarrassing CFP to begin with.

Quite the contrary, actually

I am affirming that they lost the game, moreso than Bama won it.

Bama needed the game given to them 3 times in the last couple minutes, to not lose.

I was just trying to help him but he isn't too bright.

Instead of arguing that USC had a game stolen by the refs so they are really 10-2 which may be weak but.......it's better than we lost close to Bama so we should be ahead of them.

Alas, I think he is beyond my help trying to make a sound argument as to why USC should go instead of Bama. He thinks losing close for nuanced "reasons" is sound.

While I agree 3 losses should disqualify a team, common sense
Tells you (if you have any) this
Indiana & SMU version would not
Stomp Ole Miss nor Bama. And don't forget, Bama BEAT SC head
2 head. AND beat more ranked teams than SC did. I've accepted
Bama doesn't deserve to be in because they didn't handle their business. Maybe you should accept the same with your team.
If you think SC is better than
Bama, that's your own opinion.
You can say they shoulda beat
Bama, but they didn't. Just
Like Bama fricked around & found
Out at Vandy & Oklahoma.

This is patently false.

Nussmeier wasn't "standing there."

He was actively running towards the ball carrier, and thus a defender. He was shoved on the right shoulder, to the front of his chest. Nussmeier didn't see him, but he wasn't just standing there.

The call wasn't "blindside block." It was unnecessary roughness, which wasn't the correct call, either. Either the QB is a defender after a pick, or he's a defenseless bystander. Nussmeier was effectively both.

It should be who you beat that qualifies you in the SEC.
Largely yes.

If you don’t take SoS into consideration, the SEC get screwed in this format. Which despite the “it’ll get changed next year morons” we are stuck with this till it runs out in 2026.

If you went by power ranking the top 12, the playoff would have looked like this

1 seed Oregon
8 The stinking Vols
9 Overrated State
Home game would be reversed

2 seed Georgia
7 Penn State
10 South Carolina

3 seed Boise State
6 Texas
11 Bama

4 seed Arizona State
5 Notre Dame
12 Clemson

Oregon still gets the short straw, but the other brackets get better.

Ole Miss should be. They proved they can beat legitimate good teams.

I remember looking at the final scoreboard and seeing a South Carolina loss. That stood out to me.
