Tennessee. Maybe Kentucky.

SC wins: eastern Illinois, Vandy, Eastern Carolina
SC toss ups: South Alabama, Troy
Everyone else would be a considerable upset.

I can only speak for Clemson, but you can bank on Coach Venables' defense not only knowing, but better understanding, the coming play than the 2 stars that the Cock offense trots out.
You guys were ready to run Dabo off after 5 straight loses...so don't come here with the Beamer crap. Dabo was in the same boat when he was hired. He was just a position coach...never anything else.

Vols are going to score points. They will give a bunch too but UofSC? They have a surprise RB, decent OLine and not much else. They are going to be sluggers, 1 dimensional, not built for a shootout.

Hiring a position coach with no prior HC experience is a huge risk!

Normally yes, but this wasn't a typical hiring. As I said, it was the middle of the season and Dabo did a good job. Also money was an issue I'm sure. The Tommy Bowden Buyout was huge and the crazy TV money hadn't hit like it is now. South Carolina's hire of Beamer is in part due to Coach Boom's buyout.

Dabo's case was literally the perfect storm.

The d line should be really good. Uknowns are mainly WR and the Secondary. The running game has Harris back and a healthy Marshawn Lloyd returning. T.E. should be a strength. QB has lots of potential. I also expect good special teams play. USC will upset someone for sure

Beating Tennessee isn’t really an upset, no matter who you are.

Who in the hell asked you to speak for Clemson chief? Isn't there an ACC Board you orange shite stains can go pollute? Here is a profile of you; Obese, never put a pair of pads on your life and your wife is seeing your foreman behind your back. Bye bye now.

SCAR allowing their former players to pick the new Head Coach should tell you all that you need to know about their trajectory. Further proof that their fat old baseball coach is still just as lost as an Athletic Director as he was the day that he was hired.

As a USC fan it sucks to admit but this take is accurate. The administration is a total mess. The last president lasted barely a year and screwed up about as much as possible, even running off the biggest donor. The AD is completely unqualified and has screwed up a lot more than just the football program over the last several years.

I think there’s a lot of positive signs with Beamer so far, we may have fallen backwards into a good hire. It’s hard to do worse than Muschamp. Muschamp just gave away in state recruiting and his roster management was terrible. The guy couldn’t even competently determine how many scholarship players we needed at each position. And let’s not even get into staff hires or in game coaching…

I think USC has a lot of potential to be a consistent 7-9 win program. The money is in place, fan base in place, facilities in place, nearby talent is good. But even with no other outside factors this is a 3 year rebuild from the ground up. And being realistic… we’ll probably have to wait out Dabo before we have a shot at being more than alright. Hopefully he jumps ship for bama or the nfl rather than ride it out to retirement.

I predicted 4-8 in the thread for everyone to post their team's prediction.. E. Illinois, E. Carolina, Troy, Vanderbilt. That is all I can safely predict and even then we might lose one of these. I will never predict a loss to Vanderbilt and I think you all know why.
