I won't argue who was better because y'all did beat us head-to-head (not badly, but a win's a win.) What killed y'all, though, was a distinctly mediocre OOC. We had a killer OOC schedule and I suspect that our comparative SOS/RPIs are what pushed us over the top, given that we had identical conference records.

This would suck for anyone to hear, but especially a program that was a dumpster fire 4 years ago, hasn't been to the tourney since '04 and hasn't won a tourney game since 1973.
I hate it for our seniors. They came in and busted their asses to become decent SEC level players. They tied a school record for wins, had a great start to the season, finished 3rd in the conference, etc. etc... Really sucks for those guys.

You can't play an OOC schedule that bad and expect an at large birth. Same thing happened to us in 09.

Based on the NCAA statements, south carolina was never 'in' the tournament. Just an error by an idiot who sent a congratulations text to the wrong school.

We tried to tell them. It was out of love for our SC friends that we tried. We experienced this heartbreak and didn't want them to have to experience it. They didn't listen.

Oh yeah I agree for sure. Pathetic scheduling. I was just saying it sucks for them to hear this. Salt in the wound to hear that we were "invited" then got it taken away.

I'm loving all this "they didn't liste" garbage. Of course we were excited. Nobody listens to anyone on the rant.
