Could be an affordable stop gap. Place holder until they can afford the big hire.

I didn't start this dumb thread... I posted a BS response. But why be mad?

Why the golf club in his hand? You mean he would like to go to South Carolina to play golf around the State? Sounds like a great deal for him to go there! That is another red flag to be wanted to play golf than to focus on being the HC and get Carolina back to competing and getting back to recruiting in the top 15 or so.

This is why I think USC commits and the school and farley agree to a long term, low buyout deal

Coach Farley makes $296,000. Can Scar match that?
Maybe not with Booms buyout.

"I have no idea who that is"

Here's a reminder:

Northern Iowa coach. Wouldn't be a terrible hire..

At best a so-so hire. Farley has been at
N. Iowa for 19-years, with a 159--83 record.
I really think Tanner already has some positive
feelers for a prime candidate(s) through
Jimmy Sexton or another agent
and this is one of those (if real) "we searched
high and low to find the right person" things.

I heard 3 years at 2.2 million each with some (probably unobtainable) performance bonuses. Buy out is only 3 million.

Is Sexton his agent? That sounds too low for Sexton, which might be part of the appeal.
