That’s still not true. Both may have had one NC, but LSU had a better record, more conference championships, and a better bowl record in a better conference. Mizzou was and is nothing in football.

1960 – Missouri finished No. 5 in the final AP Poll but was retroactively named the national champion by the Poling System, a minor selector that is not recognized.
NCAA recognizes only major polls: AP, Coaches, BCS, and CFP.
Minnesota was the 1960 national championship since both major polls at the time (AP and Coaches) designated them as such, not Missouri.
