As for the others on here when it ones to the hate and disdain for one another; it’s 24/7 365. There is a mutual respect when it comes to accomplishments but it’s mostly extreme hatred. Sure, mostly has been civil on here, but outside of here, it’s constant trash talk back and forth.
.

From an outsider’s perspective I went to the game in 2021. It was the first time I’ve been to the RRS and believe me it’s a great environment and there is nothing you can compare it to plus it was a pretty wild game that year so that made it more enjoyable but there was absolutely no hatred at all with the fanbases. It felt like going to any regular neutral site game where you don’t even interact with the other fanbase. If this game wasn’t in the Cotton Bowl this would be a normal Big 12/SEC game.

Better than Alabama-Auburn?

The IB is more intense in the stadium. RRS is a better atmosphere. Army-Navy is best of both worlds.

Army-Navy is the best game in CFB. If you’ve never been I suggest you try to do so once

He's 100% correct. It's the greatest rivalry game on the planet, hands down. Deal with it

Always hilarious to see how butt hurt some fans get over a coach making a comment to fire up his fan base.

Not really a rivalry. Sooners own Texas the last 20 years. Sooners can almost, somewhat, be considered a blueblood. Texas on the other hand would kill to be LSU, Bama or Georgia.

If you haven't been to any other major rivalry game how can you say this?

Haha. Just saw the clip. CDC was sauced on the set. I don’t recall him acting like amateur hour when he was at TCU.

Is he doing alright? Or is he just a party guy now that he’s in Austin?

He’s always sauced down in Austin. Probably the pressure of the job

I remember Deloss Dodds was the same way.

The horn fans might remember hearing about the meeting Dodds had with Del Conte when Del Conte was still at TCU, Dodds was sloshed and didn’t know his name, and was calling him Dell all night.

Sark has said otherwise.. but he is biased..

I think they are different games.. and really shouldn't be compared., a better comparison for the Iron Bowl would be Texas and Texas A&M.
Uhh..wut?
The aggy game is only good for water cooler smack talk, but I can't think of a single time it really had any real national implications...far too one sided. (Except for their FedEx scandal cheating years)

Need to keep the Texas and Oklahoma trash out of the SEC.

We and Aggie warned y'all. Texas self-delusion knows no bounds.

"We?" Texas never did shite to Missouri. Missouri is a fly at our backyard barbecue.

TAMU chased the money and you rode their coattails. Aggies needed to blame someone for leaving and desperately wanted to push the narrative that they weren't running from big brother.

I've gotten free tickets to the Utx/OU game from work and gone to the game a few times over the years. The only difference between it and a regular weekly SEC match up is that it is held at the state fair. The fair part was kind of cool, but the actual games were no big deal. I left early each time to go walk around the fair. Maybe Big 12 games are just really boring and that is why you think Utx/OU rocks? I don't know.

Why are all of the head guys at Utx alcoholics?

Come on Sooner…you know your school is tied to the hip to Texas. You don’t go or do anything without them. Been pretty obvious for a long time now.

Unpopular opinion: Texas/OU and Texas/aTm will be the 2nd and 3rd best rivalry games in the SEC.
