QB play was absolutely it.

Gabriel
Howard
Rourke
Allar

Not a single QB in the SEC even matched the best 4 in the B1G. fricking ILLINOIS had a QB in Altmeyer who would arguably be the best in the SEC this year.

Lagway is promising for Florida - but what the frick for the rest of us? Nuss is not big time. I am not excited about next year. Nico, despite any tenner copium, is dog shite. The QB play in this conference was inexcusable this year for how high the prospects were and with how much the coaches make. SEC still has the dominant advantage at OL, DB, front 7 for most part, I wont say WR just due to the yips that was consistent across all programs.

Going to the SEC used to be the best chance a kid had to get drafted high and get paid millions.

Now all they have to do to get paid millions is put a hat on in December at age 17.

It's over.

Have degrees from your schools that make alumni real money? Alumni need to have great jobs to support NIL. Which means their schools need to be legitimate.

Just keep adding the best teams of every conference, we'll probably add Ohio State next

I think that the days of SEC dominance are over. NIL is leveling the field. It used to be that if you wanted a guaranteed shot at a payday you came to the SEC. Now the traditional blue bloods and any team that wants to fork out cash can recruit players.

The days of recruiting like Saban and Smart are over. No longer can you recruit a freshman 5 star and sit on them for 3 years.

Be in better NIL markets or have alumni with deeper pockets. Sorry, but the talent rich density in the southeast is not going to help anymore.

Sure it will. It will help all those northern schools as they buy the southern players after the sec has developed them for one year.

It has been for quite some time now.

It’s one year. You can’t even make a straight line with a data point, let alone a trend. Take a breath and relax.

I agree. Look, everyone is learning how to work with NIL money and a voracious transfer portal on the fly. There is going to be a learning curve, and it is going to take some time to get used to it.

Besides, we've had down years before. Remember when Clemson beat Alabama into a hog waller? It happens.
