This Alabama team would be far and away the shittiest squad, at least Alabama wise, to win a major championship in several decades.

I disagree to an extent. I can’t think of another program in the country who could lose a quarter of its starters and still end up in the national championship.
Either way, this is Coach Saban’s best job coaching since he’s been here, IMO.

I disagree. Injuries have kept us from knowing, to some extent, exactly how talented this group is. And play calling has been garbage, so it's hard to know how well the offense would be clicking if things were a bit different.

I really think the only reason Bama is in the Playoff is because of the past teams. If they win it all it will change what people think of the Playoff, the regular season and Conference Championship Games. If they win it will throw a much needed wrench in the College Football System.

Regardless of whether or not people think Bama deserved that #4 spot, if they shut down Clemson and UGA (who earned their spots without dispute) then it'll be hard not to say that they are the best team in the country, which is who the playoffs are meant to reveal.

I think most people think if you give Saban 5 weeks to prepare for a team, he will win most of the time. Giving him a bye for the regular season, discredits the system.

Huh? You think going 11-1 rather than, say, 10-2 was given no relevance in the selection process?
Their best win was against a very average MSU, A&Ms Freshman QB tore them a new one and they had 209 total yards against AU.
