I'm waiting for someone to ask if he was aware UT won the second half.

It's really crappy that the college football playoff teams are determined by a bunch of random yahoos.

what's not crappy is that that random bunch of yahoos has gotten it correct all 8 years of playoff existence. Crazy what happens when you take off the homer blinders.

The flame is the idiot vol fan being allowed to ask him the question.
The committee shot his hopes down.
Maybe they aren’t as dumb as I once thought.

I guess vols were right after all, people that watched the game could tell the type of game it was.

I asked Boo Corrigan how much committee looks at margin of defeat to common foes. (UT & Oregon each lost to UGA.)
Corrigan said it's less about score differential & more, was it a one-sided game?
I followed w/: Does the committee consider both losses one-sided?
Corrigan: "Yes"

oh the team with 2 losses? Including one to a mediocre 5 loss team?
Good I'm glad they did enter so we can laugh at them and send them back on their way.

And Corrigan responded by:

Did they also ask him if he was aware that UGA kicked UTs arse up and down the field all day long

They were still the Big 10 champion and should have got in over the Big 10 team who didn’t win its division who then got blown out 31-0 in the semi-final.

you mean the team with 1 loss, and a good loss at that? Nah. Losses have to matter.

what happens int he playoff is irrelevant on the topic of who should be in the playoffs. The debate is who deseves the top 4 slots; anything that happens after that isn't relevant. But just for funsies, I'll point out that the penn state you so mightily advcoate for ALSO lost their bowl game, ending their season with 3 losses. But yeah, they're real national champion material arent' they

Clay Travis doesn't count.

I'll be contrarian and go even further, the committee's job is to find the #1 team, with 3 runner-ups, to let them fight it out. Basically picking #1 with a 300% margin of error.
