6th inning, Georgia trying to get something going, down 4-2 to FSU, FSU leading the series 1-0.

Georgia has runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out.

Bama still down 3-1, they need to get the bats going.

Underway at Duke. Not sure why softball is so concerned with obstruction and talking about player safety yet umpires never bother to move the bat during plays at the plate.

She is not 100% based on what I saw yesterday. It wont really matter who pitches if our batters cant score more than one run. 3 total runs in the last 3 game. Not really a built for supers when all the teams have great pitching

Yeah, they have to get the bats going or it's over.

Duke pitcher doesn't even record two outs and she gets the hook.

Stanford up 2-1, bottom of the 1st.

Then it's over cause the bats ain't magically getting going. It's an abysmal offensive team.

Duke homers, closes it to 3-2. Top of the 4th. Some light rain but I'm guessing they'll get this one completed.

I told Summer of George his team didn’t deserve to be a high seed. I also said sec is severely overrated …. gets 12 teams as regional hosts and maybe 1 makes it to World Series this year… rpi should be banned for helping pick teams . The teams who consistent make it to World Series and do well every year should be the way of thinking for rankings and seeding . Texas got absolutely hosed by being a 13 seed they are easily a top 8 seed and now had to face Tenn which is a force this year .

Remember all you hating on OSU an and i told you they consistently win! They were losing to elite teams in big 12 which had been the top softball conference the last few years . You can count 3 teams every year that you can pencil in . OU OSU FSU. Usually UCLA is a fixture of the series, but this year shocked.

Bama was seeded too high, but they are still a solid team.

Ok St collapsed at the end of the year. They are very good but you can't criticize people that were down on them - they went on a bad skid.

Texas is not that good. I think they could be bumped to #10 or so, maybe they should be faced off against Duke at that regional, but no higher.

There is a definite shift going on with the SEC - conference is good from top to bottom, but hardly anything elite. There has been a decline for about 5 yrs now.

Starting in 2000, here are the number of SEC teams at the CWS
2000 - 1
2001 - 1
2002 - 0
2003 - 1
2004 - 1
2005 - 2
2006 - 1
2007 - 1
2008 - 2
2009 - 4
2010 - 4
2011 - 3
2012 - 3
2013 - 2
2014 - 3
2015 - 5
2016 - 4
2017 - 3
2018 - 2
2019 - 2
2021 - 2
2022 - 1

SEC was the center of college softball from about 2009 to 2017. In that 9yr span, of the champ and runner-up spots (18 of them), the SEC had half of them. It's been downhill since. SEC has zero of those finishes since that time.

OU's rise is pulling some talent in that direction and UCLA getting better is pulling talent westward. And now with NIL, I'm not sure what will happen. Hard to see how large metro areas will not begin dominating in the NIL era.

I don't know what the future is for the SEC in softball.

Stanford beats Duke, they are in the CWS.

That's 3 in so far: Stanford, FSU, Ok St.

And I told you that their resume deserved to be a top 9ish seed but the team itself wasn't that.

And I'm right on both.

OU opens the game with back-to-back dingers.

No one is beating them this postseason.

OU leads off with a HR against Clemson. The world's most boring softball team. Already turned that game off, after one hitter. I don't know if they're all doped or what, but this team just sucks the air out of the room. So incredibly boring to watch.

Oh well, 3pm, Texas & Tennessee get started on ABC.

It’s kinda like UConn women’s bball in the 2010s. It held back the sport some

I changed the channel after the lead-off hitter. They are so dominant it makes me curious if they're cheating, doping, or managed to get all the talent somehow. It's the most boring team I've ever seen in softball. Games are a foregone conclusion but somehow this is good for the sport.
