Congrats on getting to play both 15th and 16th place in the sec, and being the lone conference win between them.

Don’t let Kentucky’s only SEC win happen in your house.

Why is that hard to understand?

The only reason is that the committee is stupid.

From a purely psychological standpoint, I wonder if Ole Miss absorbing the 3rd loss before Bama played a role, even though it happened on the same day.

Just to be clear, I don't think that's the reason, but Ole Miss being at 3 losses was an hours long story that day and maybe just weighed on minds longer.

I think the real reason is the Ole Miss OOC SOS being really bad.

Ole Miss lost to a worse team (and did so at home) than any of 'Bama's road losses.

Kentucky is the worst team in the SEC by a wide margin.

Alabama has the worst 2 losses to Vanderbilt and getting absolutely blown out by OU. Getting blown out by OU is worse than losing to Kentucky by a field goal.

it's like when a company has a DEI quota to fill, and they have one latino guy, one black girl, and one gay trannie handicapped left-hander.

The gay trannie handicapped left-hander wins every time.

Think of Alabama as this year's gay trannie handicapped left-hander.

Mercer beat Furman by 26 points. WKU is competing for a conference championship.

Strength of schedule Alabama
Strength of record. Alabama.

That is a legit tie breaker vs Ole Miss.
The head to head vs USC is a no brainer.

Miami May have a legit gripe but OM and USC do not.

Bama has 3 losses, two of them to .500 teams in which the Vandy loss when they were ranked #1 and allowed 40 pts and to OU which held them to only 3 points while allowing 24 points, it was an arse whipping...

Their only "good" loss was to ranked Tennessee...

If this were any other team they wouldn't even be close to sniffing the playoffs...

there is no justification, its flat out corruption to once again back door another undeserving Bama team into a championship/playoff...

A 3 loss SEC team is getting in. None should be, 12 teams is too many but that’s not the discussion.

The discussion is since you’re letting in one of 3 teams that would have been competing for a Citrus bowl bid before the playoffs went “everybody gets a trophy” which one do you pick?

The one that lost to a bowl bound Vandy on the road or the one that lost to an otherwise conference-winless Kentucky at home? South Carolina has a better argument for the last slot than Ole Miss.

Not the same bragging point it was years ago.

and by your logic.....it should be worded "otherwise non-bowl bound Vandy".

Same with being wrecked by an "otherwise non-bowl bound Oklahoma".

Same meaning or not, it’s still a road loss to a better team than the one that beat OM at home. People are going to have to adjust their thinking from the old football way to more of a March Madness way where road/home and strength of schedule matter a lot.

As I said, none of us should be in the conversation but here we are.

and you got destroyed by the same team that we destroyed.

There are a lot of arguments that go either way.....but you're only acknowledging one side of those arguments.

Agreed. They had to pick someone and Bama sells more tickets/brings more eyeballs.
