Starkville has good food for as small town as it is.

They did Tyler last time. Dooey has been over done.

Veranda or Harveys is my guess. Might even go Mugshots.

They really need to go to the Veranda, Little Dooey BBQ (overrated compared to that other one on the Main Street there), Old Venice Pizza, or Restaraunt Tyler.

All are unique, and really good places to eat in Starkville.

But if all else fails, they could go to the flagship Restaraunt of Mississippi State fans everywhere: Golden Corrall.

1. The service at Restaurant Tyler is either pretty good or it is fricking awful. I will never eat there again.

2. There's no Golden Corral in Starkville.

@Walker4Ward4 "ESPN's taste of the town is shooting their segment @Bin_612 right now. We need students & Starkville residents to fill up #cottondistrict"

He should go to Sonny's BBQ in Ackerman. One of the best ribeyes in the state. And the best BBQ potato I've ever had.

Is this the one in that tiny little shack near Bumpers? I almost stopped there for lunch one day.

Overrated, IMO. Late night food is good, though. Dave's is a little too "dark" for ESPN.

The last time I went we sat there for 2 hours before we got our food, only got offered refills once, and the food was cold when we got it.

Starkville food > Tuscaloosa food. One thing I tell all my friends when they ask how I like Starkville. The food is hands down the best I've had in any SEC town.

So many great places to eat here. I barely ever eat at a national chain restaurant. ESPN will have no problem finding a Taste of the Town.

This is one of the silliest things I have ever seen posted. Ever.

I lived in Starkville for several years and literally could not disagree with your post any more than I do.

Should have went here.

Beer Garden

Plenty of food choices in Starkville.
This isn't the 80's & 90''s anymore.
Instead of driving in from Tuscaloosa on hwy 82 and going back home after the game because you have kids or you suck at life. Go actually try something besides "McDonalds".

And I live here now. And lived in Tuscaloosa for 5 years. It's called an opinion. Don't get so offended. Tuscaloosa food is nothing special IMO.

Oh my gosh! How dare I have an opinion? I've lived in both Tuscaloosa and Starkville. And I'll take my food options in Starkville any day of the week.
