Yeah, only Alabama players lift weight in the offseason and gain muscle. Every other team in America sits on their Lazy-Boy's eating pasta and pizza in their dorms and just get fat weight put on them.

I guess you missed the part where I was taking a shot at Alabama for coming out with bogus articles like this on what seems like a yearly basis.

Putting on fat isn't exactly a bad thing if you can carry it. All I'm saying is that if he put on 40 lbs in the offseason I doubt it was all muscle. If it was all muscle then it wasn't 40 lbs. Thats just unrealistic. I agree with you ETA

Just an article based off of bad info...

Gurley was 218 to start last season...232 now...

LINK

Rivals used 195 wt.on his Sr. bio from measurements made at a NFTC Camp on 5-21-2011 in Atlanta as a rising senior...

He clearly is "listed" at 40 lbs heavier...but hell that means he's gained at least 30 IRL.

And he was already good as shite. Sounds like at 195 he needed to beef up. Strength coach did his job with this one.

Give that man a raise

Most strength coaches would know that a 40lb bulk on a runningback is likely going to create problems with agility. Interested to see how his knees and ankles handle the new weight this season

He's gained about 40 lbs in the past 2 years. He was about 215 to start the season last year.
