I find it funny that the Jovon Robinson threads get whacked and this one is going on 14 pages.

Not doubting you but a link to the specific grade changing allegation would be nice.

No kidding. The car allegation had a reasonable explanation but the eligibility part of that situation is potentially MUCH more serious than this transfer situation. In Memphis you're dealing with a potentially ineligible recruit due to academic fraud that actually went on to sign with a college vs. a high school commitment that is 6 months from signing and may not even become academically eligible.

That's not a link.

But, oh, you mean the post that the AD denied making? If he didn't make it, then it wouldn't be the AD's post, now would it? Besides, he didn't actually accuse Alabama of any grade changing.

This has made main stream media (USATODAY), AL.com, Pensacola paper. It has actual people with knowledge making claims...

Jovon was a FORUM post.. No difference?

Well you even just suggested it. But to break it down for you.

quote:

The assistant coach mentioned again that he needed to know if we could take care of Darius academically.

And the AD's response was this

quote:

Again we told him we were not going to give Darius's any grades

That would seem to suggest that not only does he think "take care of academically" means grade changing, but that they asked him to change/give grades

He later says this

quote:

suggested to him by BAMA assistant Coach Jeremy Pruitt to transfer to Foley HS like DJ Fluker because he can be taken care of academically

So again, he thinks taking care of academically means giving grades,

Not really what I was refering to, as in you were an ATPB poster.

I was referencing you and the others making fun of the Auburn fanbase for starting shite like this( even though it was actually an LSU fan) when the Bama fanbase is currently proliferating another rumor at this very moment

For me personaly, all I have done is ask a few questions earlier, then try to show to some that the AD's suggestions of wrong doing are not limited to the acceptable action of suggesting a school, but of grade fixing.

I have never once accused Bama of actually doing it or anything wrong. I simply pointed out portion being overlooked because of the other acceptable action(suggesting a school) as an accusation. In fact I agreed with another poster, that you can not be punished for future crimes, which is one the wrongdoings the AD suggested.

So how am I anything like the ATPB

Could mean a million things. Some illegal, some legal (like transferring where you can get the proper amount of credits)

I still don't see the first violation in this situation. If it turns out that he eventually has grades changed or given at Foley then that would obviously be a different story.

"suggested to him by BAMA assistant Coach Jeremy Pruitt to transfer to Foley HS like DJ Fluker because he can be taken care of academically"

Well until Fluker gets busted for changed grades I'll need more to be convinced. For now, there has been no proof of any NCAA violation with Paige himself.

So, a kid who couldn't hack it at one school needs to move to another and get an even LARGER workload of courses?

Hence, he'll be "taken care of" at Foley.

Pruitt's words to recruit.
