We weren't breaking in a new defense that day, even though we looked like it. We were just taking a year-long break in coverage.

Mizzou actually made some upgrades on the DC and the other defense coach that replaced the CB coach. DC went to Illinois and CB coach went to UCF. Both should be much better. Drinkwitz wanted to wait and see what the defense coaches can do without Odom being the HC. This is a very good time to start over on the defense since the defense gave up a lot of points and big plays last year.

O had one loss more than Mullen in 2020, but played with true freshmen qbs most of the year instead of a heisman trophy qb.....
Not to mention that whole undefeated wreaked the entire SEC thingy the year before.......

Orgeron is really the only coach even remotely on the hot seat going into next year. It would take something off the field for anyone else to get canned.
Leach would be the only other guy I could see even as a distant possibility but he’d have to go 0-8 in the league, which I guess is feasible
