Not if I was a Sooner paw paw, they won it all.

Not sure more rules are necessary

The game was at a Neutral site

#6 Utx - autism and #20 Kentucky

It has national implications in softball and viewers outside of either teams base fans. The rule was put in place for a valid reason the issue is what is the right thing to do in this teaching moment.

Instead of playing in the intent of the rule the coach did the dishonorable thing to not lose (he was not playing to win at this point). Terrible moment for those girls and terrible moment for the sport. I think this was the same coach who flipped off the umpires in another game.

College sports should be held to a higher standard and if the NCAA had any balls they would step in and set an example. That way the rule works the way intended without getting more complicated and it shows gaming the system will not be tolerated.

Thanks for dredging this one back up. Can't believe Kentucky's coach (a) told her runner to leave early so they could end the top of the 8th by gaming the system -- NOT a good move in a teachable moment, and then (b) prevented her pitcher from being able to throw one strike to end it due to her visit to the mound. Bad coaching!

Also who cares, might as well hand the trophy to OU today.

Ah. So if your kid played in the national championship in softball and lost, you would be furious and disappointed? Yikes... you may need to re-think what your priorities are, then

It's comical at this point. Dude gets so triggered by Texas that he's obsessed and has to comment on every thread.

He also told me I had no life despite him having almost 50k posts on this site alone

Why not just admit he’s right? Because everyone knows he’s right about this.

Just own that your coach pulled a bush league move

So again, by this metric, Texas is the most successful baseball program in the conference, and the most successful athletic department in the country.

I mean, if you're not first, you're last after all. "This is the SEC" right?

You follow me on pretty much every thread and generally the TAMU / Utx threads I leave it to them to play footsie with each other. What you guys do with each other behind the bedroom door is your business

Over a decade of doing many of the non CFB game threads for men's and women's sports that will add up. I spend a lot more time with friends in the real world than I do here.

Maybe in the B12

They have played ZERO games in the SEC as a member of the SEC

Besides, this is about softball and pretty sure the Sooners are #1 there.

But wait a minute... you told me that only national championships matter. And Texas has won more than any other school in the SEC sans one team.

But those were won while they were in the Big 12 and they haven't won any in the SEC yet, right? So which is it?

And softball is an athletic competition, which has national championships, which Texas has more of total than any other SEC school.

Glad we agree, gramps! Good to see you come around to noticing how successful Texas is!!!

I know basic reading comprehension is hard for you (what with that supposed Utx degree) but try to follow

quote:

Texas has won more than any other school in the SEC sans one team.

Missouri has a CFB Natty, but before they joined the SEC. Good for Missouri but who cares till they win one here. Utx won most of theirs in the dark ages of the SWC and 1 or 2 in the B12. Who gives a crap here. LSU (glad to see you at least admit they have 6) has theirs in this century and ALL of them as a SEC school.

WUT?

What years did Utx - Autism win a WCWS?

Oklahoma has (6) from 2000 - 2022 (none in the SEC
TAMU has (3) - 1 is AIWA before they were in the SEC
Florida has (2) as a SEC school
Alabama has (1) as a SEC school

Utx - autism has ZERO WCWS in the SWC or B12

What a maroon you are!

But Texas Coach Mike White subbed multiple runners and took multiple trips to the mound in that last inning in order to delay the game so it would cut off Kentucky’s 3 runs that put them ahead 7-4. The ump couldn’t stop them from doing so at that point.

Ump can stop them.

You can request time. The ump grants it.

I understand an umpire preferring Texas to look like the assholes instead of the umpire though.
