Kentucky Softball @UKsoftball FINAL - Kentucky 4, Texas 4 With 1 out to go in the game and Texas' batter in an 0-2 count, our 3:30pm ET travel day drop-dead has been reached and the score reverts back to the most recently-completed inning.
The game will be recorded as a tie
Kentucky was up 7-4 at the time the game was called. Kentucky would have won had the inning finished under the timer.
Apparently, Texas subbed in/out multiple runners and held multiple mound meetings in order to delay the game so the clock would prevent them from taking the L.

Kentucky scored seven unanswered runs in the final three innings of the game and took a 7-4 lead after it hit in the eighth inning. The game had a drop-dead time of 3:30 p.m. ET due to the travel schedule of both teams leaving the Clearwater area tonight. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Texas was down to its last strike, with two outs in the inning and an 0-2 count – the 3:30 p.m. ET drop-dead time was reached and that ended the game.
With Texas not completing its at bat in the eighth inning, by NCAA rules, the score reverts back to the most previously-completed inning, which in this case is the seventh inning.
Thus, the final score in the game is recorded as a 4-4 tie, the second tie in program history.

Biggest cheater in academics in MCBB = UNC
Biggest financial cheaters in MCBB = UCLA
Biggest cheating coach in MCBB = Duke
Indiana has been hit in MCBB by the NCAA
Kentucky has been hit in MCBB by the NCAA
Kansas has been hit in MCBB by the NCAA
I believe you are incorrect

Your softball coach was so scared to take an L sitting at #6 and getting exposed that he stalled the game.
Bringing up UK’s NCAA past doesn’t make y’all any less of a pussy today, bud.

You wonder why Utx has such a bad rep

blame the officials on this one, not texas. they really couldnt let them finish the AB, or at least throw 1 more strike?

Officials are hamstrung by NCAA
The rule is in place for a reason and if Utx was delaying on purpose, not much the refs can do. Been at games where this comes in play and coaches usually play nice. Like Saban running the ball in the 2nd half to kill clock than running up the score.

The rule is silly.
But Texas Coach Mike White subbed multiple runners and took multiple trips to the mound in that last inning in order to delay the game so it would cut off Kentucky’s 3 runs that put them ahead 7-4. The ump couldn’t stop them from doing so at that point.
Textbook bush league.

The rule is the one that applies only to Sunday games, correct Belle?
It is not silly, just unfortunate a team chose to manipulate a rule designed one way to benefit them in a way the rule did not intend.

Why does anyone schedule a game that even comes close to the drop dead time to begin with? Was it a deal where prior games ran over or did it start on time?
They at should at the least let the current batter finish. If tx stalled with the intent to tie thats bush league stuff
