Well, what did you expect? They have the trashiest fans you’ll ever meet and somehow think cranking out degree’s in gender fluid studies makes them superior to Harvard

Not to bust your bubble on Utx - autism fans but the worst are Ohio State fans and they are like Utx on steroids. I actually feel more sorry for B1G fans that have to suffer tOSU fans than B12 fans that have to suffer Utx.

No doubt, Columbus Ohio and Austin have a lit in common

Buckle up folks. This is only but a small peek of things to come from the new SEC school in austin.

I mean I'm not going to pretend to care about a UT/kentucky softball game, but that is hilariously petty and embarassing. do you REALLY want this to be the identity of your team?

Texas is getting roasted pretty much as widely as a softball team can get roasted. But this is just who that school has always been.

Men coaching women's sports has always been bizarre to me

In austin they do
Year before the Gopher's did not do it to them in the 5th when they had the lead

What would Ky have done if the shoe was on the other foot?

Lawson is pretty competitive but don't think she crosses that line
#1 Most of these teams you play every year, so not like a 1 off

From that article:
quote:
Much of what transpired on Sunday can be attributed to gamesmanship – even Kentucky’s runner leaving early to end the top half of the 8th. But gamesmanship has its limits and those limits were crossed by Mike White and Texas on Sunday.
When I sought out a former coach to gauge their opinion on the 8th inning happenings on Sunday, the response was worth quoting. “I would be embarrassed,” they said, “to get on the bus, to face my team, as the head coach at the University of Texas, and tell them we had to do that to avoid a loss.”
The “official” scorebook may show a 4-4 final score, but Texas was a beaten team on Sunday. And Mike White knows it.
Looks like it’s not just “whiny UK fans” calling them out like some of the Horns here have claimed.

With Lawson, played out the game. She generally has faith in her team to get the win.
It’s why Kentucky had a runner leave early to try to get the full 8th inning in. There’s gamesmanship and then there’s being the head of a clown show.

White had to pick between offending Kentucky by not intentionally throwing or offending his own players by not coaching to win. He made the right choice.

He didn’t coach to win either, he ended up with a tie because he was too big of a pussy to play a straight up game with Kentucky’s bats heating up.
I sincerely hope we face each other again in the post-season. Lawson would have a field day with that.

I dont understand the rule being so literal that the game has to end right at that time. At least finish out the inning after. I get you want to assume the best but if you're the NCAA you have to acknowledge the possibility of someone doing the shite texas pulled.

This was a teaching moment and if you truly believe he made the right choice then I feel sad for your offspring.
Competition on the surface is about winning and losing (thats why they keep score) but under the surface it reveals character. Mike White has shown his for all the sport to see.
